Working HDR Fox T2 500GB (running custom firmware) for sale

Hi, not sure if this is allowed, I used to frequent this forum during the development of the custom firmware many years ago. I'm looking to sell my beloved Humax HDR Fox T2 500GB running custom firmware. Loved using it before moving in with my (now) partner who was tied to her Sky box. Owned...

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

ah yes, this is the thread I found when searching initially (and under the impression both drives were ntfs) thanks for your help everyone.

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

Ah! As soon as I plugged it into my computer and Windows didn't automatically recognise it I remembered, the 750gb drive is EXT formatted by the Humax because as I said above I started using it with the humax before the ntfs 3g package came about. So why can't I rename that? Or is that...

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

Possibly.. I thought both were ntfs, but really thinking about it I may have started using the 750gb drive with the humax before the ntfs 3g package came about so was maybe I was forced to FAT it up ;) I'll check sometime soon. 30 seconds was an arbitrary number, I know that if I'm...

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

Ok thank you, that makes sense and would also perhaps explain why the pie chart doesn't work for the larger drive once ntfs 3g has loaded? If the functionality isn't there it I'm not fussed, l just wanted to make sure I wasn't being silly and missing some obvious option.

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

Thank you for your thoughts They were named before they were plugged in and the humax ignored those names, is 'disk utilities' on Win7? If so is it different to right click and rename option for the drives in Windows explorer? re. pie-charts - perhaps I wasn't clear, the pie chart works for...

Copy files to Humax 2 gig max?

This is a similar problem I had but mine only seemed to occur with external usb drives - attempting to copy and paste/drag and drop files using my PC/Windows explorer onto external drives connected to the Humax only seemed to work if they are less than 2GB (it complained of space even though...

    Rename ntfs formatted external drives

Hi all, I have two external ntfs format usb drives permanently attached to my hdr. They were automatically assigned names when I plugged them in and I've tried to rename them before (using +opt and rename in both webif and on the remote) to no avail. However I'm about to add a third drive and...

    cifs issues

As I hit enter on the above post I thought I probably hadn't restarted the laptop in a while, maybe give that a go... Low and behold all is working fine. I should have remembered, if in doubt blame Windows. My apologies, please feel free to delete the thread so as to hide me from my own shame...

    cifs issues

Hi, I've had the firmware installed for some time and have been using cifs to 'see' the Humax as a 'computer' my my network on my win 7 laptop. This obviously allowed me to view and access files on the humax on my laptop, for instance watching something on one of the external drives attached to...

    Samba shares

So I was able to find and change the file using your instructions and FTP commander 8.0 (I couldn't see all the folders for some reason with either WINSCP or Windows Explorer) and Buzz Player can now see the humax via samba although it asks for a username and password which I don't know (I've...

    Samba shares

Thank you. I did read that when I first found the forum but there was so much to take in that I missed the bit about ftp access :)

    Samba shares

OK... feeling really technologically useless now, I thought I was doing alright up to this point but it turns out my life has been made easy by nice user interfaces and people far cleverer than I! My understanding is that Windows explorer can be used as an FTP client so I've tried to get access...

    Samba shares

Hi guys, same problem as m0nk3y above with Buzz Player, but I'm afraid I'm not savvy enough to understand how to change the samba setup from 'share' mode to 'user' mode with the instructions already given. Can someone perhaps explain how to do this in a bit more detail? Will changing mode...
