I was (mostly) OK but I knew posting would be a mistake. Thought for a horrid 5 minutes that I might have to walk home as well (and I'd got a Return), but luckily the bus was late (as normal).
But I'm feeling a bit bewildered by all this. Must be getting like Trev :roflmao:.
What's the current word? Is it Thursday? Never could get the hang of Thursdays.

I can't see how "observe" is valid from "starboard", so I will challenge.

1) didn't want to deprive anyone quick off the mark from a valid challenge
2) I'd been drinking and not thinking fast enough (there really wasn't much left to bribe people with)

I've been out of commission too. Yes, just claim a smaller sub-string (minimum 3) to ensure the sub-string is at least two letters short of the word. The practical outcome of which is that the minimum word length is automatically five.

The rules about challenging ensure we don't have to work back far to establish the current word.

And no, you don't need advanced English skills - just an ability to count!
