Hi guys,
My Fox T2 with custom firmware died at the start of the week so I decided to get refurbished 4000T.
I'm really missing the custom firmware...... it made a huge difference.
With the 4000T I've noticed I don't receive a few channels, BBC NEWS HD and 4SEVEN HD to name a few.
I'm about...
It was a video file I converted to a .ts file using tsMuxeR_1.10.6 which worked fine and never caused any issues when watched but I left it on the Humax for the wife to watch and she never did so that's why I decided to delete it recently when I started to get the problems with Live TV.
Below...
It made no difference :(
I deleted what I did not want to keep on the HDD as it seemed to get stuck on a file which was one of those, the box then got stuck in the delete loop, I resolved that by doing the following....
humax# /etc/init.d/S90settop shut
humax# rm /mnt/hd1/filebglastop.dat...
I'm not very technical but I have a feeling the partition the swap cache is located on is corrupt hence me being unable to pause or rewind live tv, does this sound about right? I can still record fine and watch the recordings back fine.
I was unable to access Webif therefore I used telnet to...
I've had the Humax hdr t2 with custom firmware for the last 2 yrs & it's the mutts nuts.
I've not owned a Topfield so cannot compare but the custom firmware really makes a big difference for me.
When I first set it up to access my Iomega NAS it worked for a couple of hours but would keep freezing therefore I purchased a usb 2.0 flash stick in case that was the causing the fault and still had the problems, I spent 4 nights after I finished work trying everything and reading as much as...
Scrap that last reply, I just reordered in Alphabetical and it's put it order of date/time starting from the top, typical I post then I remember how to do it...doh!
I disagree that kids programs can be played in any order, right now I'm sitting here playing Peppa Pig in order of date/time because the recordings usually are cut off early meaning the last part is on the beginning of the next recording, I used to be able to reorder the library recordings in...
Step 2 - Install the official 1.02.27 firmware from http://beta.humaxonline.co.uk/freeview-hd-t2;

Thats what I got with an Lg TV, I've now got a Samsung & all is fine with the volume on the Hd channels with multi selected rather than stereo.
So it does depend on the make of your TV.
I updated last night to v2.00 & all was OK, this morning however I switched it on & it took me through a fresh installation as if I had just purchased it i.e. scanned for new channels etc.
All scheduled programs were of course gone which is not a problem as custom firmware is still in place so...
