thanks for the quick reply.
I ran remove_portals and it showed:
>>> Beginning diagnostic remove_portals
Running: remove_portals
Removing custom-portal (if installed)
No packages removed.
Removing portal-xtra1 (if installed)
No packages removed.
Removing new-portal (if installed)
No packages...
I'm struggling to install the new-portal package from the Package Manager.
After clicking Install a window pops up then disappears, the package in the available list then says installed but going to the installed list doesn't show it. Clicking the TV Portal button on the remote shows the...
The jquery ajax call can accept the returned response in any format, plain text, html, xml, json. i think it can even take a binary response to read in images etc.
As long as the server responds with a 200 response code (OK) then it should activate the success callback function and anything...
the jquery call shoudn't include the /mod/webif/html/ directories.
They are the server directories before the webservers folder. Jquery is client side so doesn't have access to that.
Assuming the jim files are in /mod/webif/html/portal/jim/ the jquery call should be to /portal/jim/script.jim...
ah, ok.
Is there a local copy of iplayer/youtube? I thought they were all hosted online at humaxtvportal.com.
I think loading it in to the buffer is a little beyond my knowledge but if you have any info that would point me in the right direction????
I'm just playing with a couple of ideas/mini projects, building some web pages hosted on my humax.
I can play an mp4 file from the hard disk/usb fine, but if I link to the video hosted on a webserver by directing the portal browser to http://www.myserver/myvideo.mp4 the humax loads for a...
ha ha, suppose so.
presumably it's not going to get a face lift any time soon, actually didn't Graham North say in that web radio chat the HDR-T2 was going to be getting some portal changes?
Maybe iPlayer will be part of it????
Not holding my breath!
Just got an email from BBC about iPlayer and noticed a link at the bottom saying 'where can i get bbc iplayer?'.
Thought I'd see what it's available on now and was suprised to see the HDR-FOX T2 isn't in the list of certified devices!
Just overlooked? Or is the reason it hasn't been updated...
I would have thought it's the same as in the Media list on the actual Humax, there are new recordings in that folder.
If you start playing the recording the + will disappear.
WOW!
It looks like a great system and the potential is huge ...... however I can't believe they have took such a big step backwards in terms of usability and functionality.
A simple thing like searching for a program, which I use all the time - if I miss a program and want to see if it's...
Ah ok, i thought for a bit you had to get all your recordings via the guide which would have been horrible!
Just been watching some videos on youtube, they were saying when you search it only searches catchup programs, is there no search for programs in the future?
I'm thinking about getting the T1000 (or T1010 - doesn't seem to be any difference apart from looks?) but I've got some questions I hope someone can help with.
I've already got a HDR T2 and love it, but I really like the catchup stuff on youview.
I don't tend to use the custom firmware stuff...
I haven't noticed any hiss, although I'll probably notice it now you've mentioned it :).
I'll try the audio settings to see if that makes a difference.
Thanks for your help.
Sorry should have explained a bit better.
I used to have my humax box connected directly by a hdmi cable to the hdmi 1 port on my Panasonic TV, everything worked fine with regards to the sound from HD channels.
Google TV now sits between that so my humax box connects to the hdmi in port on the...
I've just got a Sony Google TV box and connected it between my TV and T2.
Everything seems OK apart from the sound on the HD channels isn't controlled by the remote (either the Humax or Google TV remote).
The sound blasts out, but trying turning it down just does nothing.
The volume bar appears...
