it wasn't old news when I had the problem two days ago😃
it seems there are more members of this forum who are now getting an Aura, and this is a problem they will very quickly find.
I'm sorry if my post was too obvious for experts like you😃
Was I wrong to try and help others with the same problem?
watch out for remote control conflict. the Aura and Fox T2's remotes share same IR code!
You can change the ir code of Aura to fix this. However, when doing that you MUST switch off the FoxT2 box otherwise it changes that code too and suddenly you can't control the Fox T2 with the old remote!
just taken delivery of mine. blown away with it so far😃
two days in, and it's working v well.
we've had a great run with a pair of FoxT2 boxes, but eventually one started crashing several times a day, enough of a clue ...
Sorted... as mentioned in the Foxlink thread - I needed virtual-disk2 installed as well. I have managed to get both HDRs to see each other's disks (as USB virtual disks) and both seem to be working nicely with full tricked transport controls - result ! Thanks very much:)
No luck so far - both are running nfs-utils, both running fox-link pointing to each other's IP addresses, both see each other on the Network and can see each other's files, and can play then using normal DNLA Client (with restricted transport controls).
However, what I expected to see was a...
Many thanks. Content share is ON for both boxes, they are both seeing each other's content and playing it OK. However whilst the remote unit is able to stop and pause the other unit, it is not able to rewind or fast forward. The "jump back" and "Jump forward" controls work OK. Thoughts?
Btw they...
I have been running foxlink very happily for three years now - its been great. Suddenly I am having problems that the HD Fox T2 will no longer remotely control the HDR Fox T2 functions to pause, stop, rewind, forward. Also the "time shift" functionality on the HD Fox T2 has stopped working...
For months my HD Fox T2 has been working very nicely (linked to an HDR Fox T2 using Foxlink). It has had the latest CFW installed since April this year.
Suddenly it no longer sees the HDR's HDD as a USB virtual disk. It will play files from the HDR OK in network mode (which have been decrypted...
Many thanks for your suggestions...
I have deleted them, no I did not have the undelete package installed.
I did try to decode them manually, and it appeared to have done so, however there were not actually decoded and the system keep trying to decode them again and again.
I had already tried...
OK, getting somewhere at last...
The box is now successfully auto decrypting new recordings, so I am left with two files it won't decrypt. They wont play on the machine either (any more, they did play before I did complete re-install). So I now think that this box had a corrupted encryption key...
I've started from scratch...
before doing anything I ran fix-disk (no problems), ran the HUMAX disk utility and ran the hard disk diagnostic on "diagnostics", and all the other diagnostics - all fine with no errors reported.
I then:
re-installed the Official Firmware 1.03.12
re-installed CF...
Thanks Trev:)
Actually, I did say that but still didn't get an answer. And indeed I still don't have a clue:)
Hope you enjoyed the insight into my Mrs's taste in recordings!
Many thanks for the suggestion - I have now tried this and get the same result.
Here is the latest error message:
02/09/2014 15:46 - /media/My Video/A Night to Remember_20140901_2252.ts - auto-decrypt failed.
02/09/2014 15:53 - /media/My Video/New Tricks/New Tricks_20140901_2100.ts -...
Thanks, that fixed three files.
However I am still getting problems..
The auto decrypt is not working properly - even for files this machine has recorded itself on this disk
EG:
02/09/2014 10:35 - /media/My Video/A Night to Remember_20140901_2252.ts - auto-decrypt failed.
02/09/2014 10:40 -...
Yup, thats it! Many thanks.
I now see a different problem - it keeps trying to decrypt files that were already decrypted.
Is there something I need to reset that stops that churn?
I have just re-installed CF on a replacement HDR (the other one broke, not booting up, no lights etc) - I moved the Hard Disk over from the old unit (fundamentally the "new" unit is working OK) and then installed the latest CF HDR_FOX_T2_1.03.12_mod_3.00 (it was already running OF 1.03.12) .
It...
Disk change
Many thanks, I followed BH's simple instructions above and all this worked a treat, the Seagate 1TB Pipeline HD Hard Drive (3.5" SATA-II - 5900RPM 64MB Cache - ST1000VM002 - £55 from ebuyer.com) went in and has worked perfectly. I have no idea if the AF stuff was sorted out by the...
recursive auto de-crypt error - any idea what this means:
file is already decrypted but the HMT flag is wrong.
the error is generated every 10 minutes, and always relates to the same file.
It comes up on the main web-if screen, like this:
!! WARNING !!
You have pending system...
