There are very helpful instructions in the wiki but I thought I would post a different method that I came across and which doesn't involve aluminium foil or conductive paint and which, so far (touching wood) seems to be very successful indeed on one of my remotes which got to the stage of being...
I have been using the network shares for many months and it has transformed how I use the Humax with my server box.
One question: I would like to change the network share names that appear on the Humax. Is it safe to rename the folders in the [ModSettings]/smb directory - i.e. rename them from...
I've set up two HDDs on my HP Microserver as network shares and I've noticed quite a difference in speed if I copy files using the Webif interface compared with either rsync or scp (both of those "pulling" the data to the Microserver, over ssh).
Webif file copy to network share (HP...
As my recording and viewing is centred so much around the HDR Fox-T2 I've just bought a used machine off ebay to have as a backup.
I'm intending revert the machine to the factory default, update the firmware, install the CF, etc - but are there sensible checks I can do to on the machine to...
Raydon,
Sorry to be a pain in the back-side but I'd like to make a suggestion for the Media List Name generated by sidecar.
At the moment it uses the filename, which seems sensible, but if the filename is in the Humax format "name_yyyymmdd_hhmm.ts" one has to use the rename option to chop off...
An odd request:
Is it possible to install the sidecar package on a Ubuntu computer (actually Ubuntu Server in my case)? I ask the question as the package is Linux based so thought it just might be possible.
If so, what would be the procedure?
I know it might seem an odd request but how I deal...
Today I've tried to install Samba (using the Package Management - Available) and it repeatedly fails.
The error message is:
opkg_download: Failed to download
http://hpkg.tv/hdrfoxt2/base/samba_2.2.12-6_mipsel.opk, wget returned 1.
opkg_install_pkg: Failed to download samba. Perhaps you need to...
For some time I have been frustrated that whenever I edit a .ts file in VideoReDo, re-create the sidecar files with AV2HDR-T2 and copy the results back to the HDR-Fox T2 the subtitles aren't retained. So I have done some investigation and come up with a simple solution which seems to work...
I have just got round to getting a HDR-Fox T2 when I see there is a new product, the HDR-2000T. I can get the HDR-Fox T2 for £150 or the new HDR-2000T for around £170.
Are there any drawbacks or benefits with the newer model?
I'm looking at buying a HDR-Fox T2 and I have been reading the invaluable threads here but I would very much appreciate some help on a few things.
I have a fair number of mpg files recorded from a Hauppage USB tuner stick, edited and converted from ts to mpg VideoReDo. From reading the forum I...
