[webif] Web Interface version 1.0.13 released

Just noted an oddity with dedupe.

If I manually dedupe a folders contents, from WebIF, any files that are accordingly renamed do not immediately get the Deduped flag set.

If I then dedupe the same folder a second time - this time with no action occurring - the file that was renamed in the previous dedupe now gets the Deduped flag set.

This was causing me some annoyance: I would manually dedupe a folder, then manually add e.g. a series number prefix to a recording. I would then come back later to find the file had been renamed back, since this folder has auto-dedupe set.

Is this how it's intended to work? It seems a little odd, that the Deduped flag doesn't get set until the dedupe after the one that renamed the file?

thanks much...

Hi quite tempted to update webif but my cfw hasn't been updated for a while, should I do that first ?

Web interface version: 1.0.15-6
Custom firmware version: 2.16 (build 1691)
Humax Version: 1.02.32 (kernel HDR_1.02.32)

Up to you. I let my CFs get quite dated, but my packages (including WebIF) are on auto-update. CF v3 includes features which will be important for future specialist packages to run, but other than that the main reason to update your CF is to access the latest disk repair tools.

I'm sure I have raised this before: why does a pending series recording in the WebIF recording schedule not allow for the target folder to be changed prior to incorporating that item through a reboot? Currently adding the recording from the WebIF EPG and redefining the target folder involves a reboot to incorporate the item into the schedule, then another reboot to update the target folder.

The pie chart and data at the top of WebIf is a useful feature. Would it be possible to show a separate 'slice' and percentage for the dustbin? Or better still breakdown by days before complete deletion. Possibly mirrored on RS.

The existing pie chart is intended to mirror the equivalent on the Humax media listing. Maybe if you click on it...

I realise that the first part of my request is information already available. I was suggesting a slight enhancemant my dasboarding it.

The second part of my suggestion is not available elsewhere. I think it would be useful to know how much space is going to be freed up overnight, or in a few days time.

The icons used to display the current pie charts (green and blue) are ones used by Humax for their 'on-screen' display, so get the Web-If to display a different pie-chart would require many new icons to be produced, in order to display all the possible combinations, the info. could be displayed in the text to the left of the pie-chart a lot more easily

On webif\browse deleted folder has already storage info in Gb

I was thinking of the total space taken by the deleted folder broken down by age. I.e. how much will be freed up overnight, how much tomorrow night, etc.

Does this really pass the 'so what' test? What practical use could be made of the information?

If the storage space taken up by the contents of the [Deleted Items] folder is bothersome because it's occupying space needed for future recordings, then isn't the most effective solution to delete the contents manually and remove the problem?

Just because I haven't implemented that feature. I will have a look at how easy it is to do.

I have just run diag fix-flash-packages after a series of Humax crashes and got this message :-
Code:
Removing package new-portal from root...
Installing new-portal (1.02) to root...
Collected errors:
* opkg_download_pkg: Package new-portal is not available from any configured src.
* opkg_install_pkg: Failed to download new-portal. Perhaps you need to run 'opkg update'?
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package new-portal.
This appears to be due to the packages list containing this :-
Code:
new-portal - 1.02
new-portal - 1.01 - New Portal - replaces the default Humax TV Portal.
But version 1.02 is not available e.g. :-
http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/new-portal_1.01_mipsel.opk = O.K.
http://hummypkg.org.uk/hdrfoxt2/base/new-portal_1.02_mipsel.opk = not available

Hey, New to this, but I'm trying to change the "Advanced Settings" to install the custom TV portal, (I understand that I need to do this to install it?) but unfortunately every time I try to change from no to yes on either of the settings, the page resets back to no. I can't see a way of submitting my request or anything either.

The package meta information only lists 1.01 on my box, and I just did an "opkg update" to make sure.
Are you sure you haven't done a local install of something calling itself 1.02?

I'm not sure I can explain what I have found but here goes, I though the /mod/var/opkg/base file was the same list as in opkg list, this file only has a reference to new-portal_1.01, however if I enter the command line 'opkg list' I get a list of packages that include the two lines above, i.e. it also has new-portal_1.02. My Humax has obviously had 1.02 installed on it at some time but I can't remember installing it. I do keep copies of all *.opk files and I have found a new-portal_1.02_mipsel.opk dated 11NOV2013 with mcquaim as the owner, I need to do a bit more digging
