Try a single cable across the top of the skirting board. White cable, white skirting. A small blob of glue gun, pull it tight and stick it down. Keep some tension up till it sets. I have virgin 350mb which works very well most of the time.
If you only need to provide part of your network across WiFi, look at a media bridge.

Eric this sounds like a capacitor has blown in the power supply. If you still have the unit take the lid off and look at the components around where the mains comes in and around that area.
It may be obvious where it's gone pop or you may need to look a bit harder.

Hi all first post.
I have installed the custom firmware on my Hdr T2, ftp'd the file to the pc, ran foxy, copied it back via ftp, confirmed it no longer showed as encrypted, then copied it to a USB stick on the T2.
Taking the stick to a pc it's plays the video but no audio.
