I'm making some alterations to the satellite feeds to accommodated a new TV.
It is a few years ago since I set it up and have forgotten the details.
I have 2 dishes 19 & 28 and one DiseqC switch .
The switch is on one tuner and a straight feed of 28 LNB on the other.
Question, does it matter...
A result.
Failed to move original heat sink DRT T1010 heat sink, I feared that I would damage the processor or MB. I was kindly sent a fabricated heatsink but it required the removal of the original one.
New additional hear sink stuck on top of the old one.
40mm 5v volt fan attached to new...
The problems described in the original post refer to HDR Foxsat BOX 1. The suggested remedies have been put in the "too difficult" pending tray for the moment but thanks for the posts.
Now HDR Foxsat BOX 2.
This box has all the up todate firmware and nothing appears to be amiss in the package...
Hi,
I'm trying to get RS to work with the HDR Foxsat.
The firmware I read needs to be up todate, i.e v 4.1.3 and webif at least 2.88.
There are a few odd things that I don't understand.
In Settings I have,
System information: 4.13
webif 2.75
In Package Management I have,
2 entries for epg &...
Brilliant! Thanks, one problem solved.
I've now have removed the MB, I thought that an underside inspection may reveal hot spots ( a browning of the surface). Apart from the general area under the processor all normal.
Trev.
If my DTR 1010T is a write off, what should I consider? I would like to be able to programme recordings remotely. the said box used to do that even when in standby.
Thanks for the continuing responses.
Why has the factory heat sink been fine up to now?
Has the thermal paste failed or as someone suggested, a high resistance joint has developed on the pins to the processor?
I'm unlikely to find it and therefore not likely to remove MB.
I've added a fourth...
Very interested in the replacement heat sink solution, I'm wrestling with high processor temperatures. Maybe I missed it in your posts but how is the new heat sink attached?
The investigation continues, no electronics engineer you understand!
The fan has been sidelined as it appears from the internal ducting that it is designed mainly to keep the HDD cool.
The problem seems to be related to the temperature of the processor or MB
Cover on the heat sink reads 76°c...
Thanks for the response, a substantial amount of information there.
I think overheating is the problem, since having extracted the unit for investigation, with the cover removed it is reliable, put the cover on, it fails. Close inspection of the fan next.
Hi, I'm investigating a reluctance to start and occasional freezes of the DTR T1010.
Can anyone tell me if the fan should run continuously or is it thermostat controlled?
