Well......almost! I have one movie on the Humax which is 3 hours 23 mins in length and i cannot get it all to copy on the flash. The most it gets up to is 2 hours 54 mins then "claims" it's completed, but hasn't. I've tried loading it a few times now, each time ensuring the flash is wiped clear...
Just an update. I bought a couple of new flash drives to try. 32gb at £13 each off Amazon, not cheap by any means but a vast improvement over the Sandisk i'd been using which were possibly fake copy ones anyway. Takes seconds to offload a movie now and the bigger plus, i can no doubt leave files...
Yes you may have a point there re. the flash. I've got four flash drives but they are all the same brand (Sandisk) so not much point in using another. I have read your post #47 and will have to "soak up" the info more. Maybe i was being a bit hasty with commenting about the Fox T2 last night but...
Well what i cannot get over is the inordinate amount of time it takes to copy a file from the Humax to flash. I did a 60 min progamme earlier on and when i looked at it on the pc, it was only partially there despite the "copying" on the Humax appearing to have completed. So i tried again and...
Ok maybe so.....it was some time ago i had the Humax Freesat.
I'm not sure how you got that impression from what i posted which was, "The previously owned Humax i had was a Freesat model (i showed an Amazon link) with a 320gb drive. From memory once a file on the hard drive had been selected...
At the risk of confusing (again!!) i will try and explain what i meant but please remember the model i now have and am using is the HDR Fox T2. :)
The previously owned Humax i had was a Freesat model (i showed an Amazon link) with a 320gb drive. From memory once a file on the hard drive had...
At least 10 minutes possibly more. I will do another tomorrow and time it.
The Freesat i used to have before the T2 was this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Humax-FOXSAT-HDR-Freesat-Digital-Recorder-x/dp/B001L5YU36
That moved programmes direct off the hard drive to the flash.....the T2 is just...
Ah right ok thanks.....will look out for that next time!! Yes i suppose i should have set a lower res on the camera but was more concerned with getting this Humax issue sorted!
Yes thats correct when i first began posting about this.....the file i tried which was 15 mins long, loaded to the...
Apologies for the delay but here is the latest update (apologies also for the whacking sized pics....how do you guys make 'em fit small?);
Screen shot of Humax showing file on flash drive
Screenshot of file playing off flash disk thru Humax
Screenshot showing flash drive (J) plugged...
Ok thanks and cheers on that. Will give it a go tomorrow and let you know the result as quite frankly it's worn me down! Fond memories of my old 'Hummy' which was simple "plug n play" without all this!!
Accessing System Information i got this under Software Version; FHTCP 1.03.12 not sure if that helps answer your question?
What do i need to go about installing 'custom firmware' and what are the benefits? I just want to get files from Humax to PC and be able to access them......i never...
This seems to be the process i've been going through....
With flash drive installed i scroll through media list to select programme to copy....i've been using a 17 minute file which you can see highlighted in blue here;
Press Opt+ which displays this and i then scroll to highlight...
Ok first i should point out again it's a HDR Fox T2 i'm using and not the Foxsat model so this may account for some misinterpretation in your instructions. I spent ages fiddling around with it today then thought the best idea is try and show the procedure i'm following by taking photos of the...
It won't when it's plugged into the pc......but to check 100% the file had copied, i tried playing the file on the flash drive in the Fox T2 and it worked.....proving the file is on the flash.
It's when i plug the flash to my pc with the file on that i cannot access the file.
Yes without any...
