Ah righto - thanks for the heads-up. I'd forgotten that! If I want to try converting the files on my computer, do I need to download all of the associated files ( .hmt / .nts / .thm ) for each episode, or just the raw .ts file? (I'm downloading via FTP, so these other files are visible to me.)

Thanks for the input, Black Hole. I doubt it's a read-only issue as the machine still records stuff to the HDD perfectly well. I will certainly update to CF 3.13 though, and see where that gets me. Cheers, Ken
