    OK, an update re. Ext3 Just re-formatted and tried again and all good, so perhaps some hasty user error there. John

    Hi Ron, Thanks for the reply. Re. re-format from Ext3: The HD wouldn't recognise the disk as suitable (as reported by maint mode). So I formatted to Ext2 and then all was well. Any hints on getting it working with Ext3? John
