I still have my Tandy Model 100 but I haven't used it for many years. Clinging on to that stopped me from getting a PC for a long time. When I eventually gave in, it was with Windows 95 and a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Still got that - must try to power it up sometime....
Just seen it BH. It wasn't highlighted in orange so I didn't think it was a reply to me. Windows 11 eh? I'm only 4 short of that - I only upgraded from XP to W7 last year. Also, I still have a Sony Betamax VCR and you should see my mobile phone....
Thanks BH. I know nothing about Linux and I'm probably a bit long in the tooth to try to start learning. I have already mentally written off what was on the old drive (The Great Escape, Bullseye and Emmerdale Farm. I think) so I think that's the way for me to go.

Linux - Oh dear! Could I try to re-format it to FAT32 on the PC first? Alternatively, I could risk buying a replacement HD and fiiting it and keep my fingers crossed....
I have been all through this thread and I cannot see anything related to my problem - the HDR-T2 doesn't think that the hard drive is present. I have done the factory reset and re-loaded the custom firmware and even that thinks there is no HD.
If I just replace the disc, will I need to load...
That is right. I cannot get the box into "standby", only off completely. I did try to load CFW3.1.3 off a USB stick from cold but it didn't load. I expect the System Flush would need to be loaded in the same way?
That is why I will be looking for my screwdriver soon....
Thanks to all members...
I think I have exhausted Section 1 of the "How to fix it" guide, Section two is not applicable so I'm on to Section 3 which involves disconnecting the hard drive......

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I cannot turn off the HDR apart from with the power switch. I did try re-loading 3.1.3 by inserting the USB stick and then powering on but it made no difference.
Looks like I'll be getting a screwdriver out soon.....
