okay this could be it - in the data storage settings on the humax you can 'select the hdd for pvr' unfortunately this is greyed out in my case.

Yes, has full signal. The epg is fine when viewing on the tv but nothing appears in the web interface. My setup : model - HD FOX T2 attached media is usb kingston G3 8gb datatraveler ext2 formatted. I wondered if the key might be the problem? Webif doesn't seem to know the humax version? but...
