    Persistent Pixelation on Playback

Sorry to drag this thread up again but I was reading BH's Things Every HD/HDR-FOX Owner Should Know. What are people's opinion on turning on the 5V Antenna Power? What effect do people expect it will have?

Humax FHR-6000T Will this need its own listing in the forum? ( Now named the Aura EZ 4K Freely Recorder)

Freely are freely throwing around the term Wi-Fi when they actually mean "internet connection". They even recommend an Ethernet connection. https://www.freely.co.uk/help/faqs/connect-internet

    AR on a per-recording or per-service basis

Having had a couple of Channel 5's NFL games cut off before the final result, I did a search here for "padding" Resisting the urge to ask directly, I fiddled around with my Web-IF Schedule page and found the padding dialogue which appears when you click on the "More" button and choose "Disable...

Looks like this retailer is being a bit cheeky in offering it for sale on "back-order". https://www.danielstv-home.co.uk/product/humax-fhr-6000t-freely-pvr-recordable-set-top-box-black/

    Persistent Pixelation on Playback

prpr - Thank you. I will explore the Restore TV site. I do have a satellite dish which feeds into an ancient Sky box that I never use. That may be their reason not to help me. Owen Smith - Took the aerial out of the power block and plugged it directly into the Humax Got the "signal too weak"...

    Persistent Pixelation on Playback

All of the equipment, including the amplifier, was installed by the aerial installer. It's from around 2004-ish so early FreeView. I do not know what they are or do. The only installing I have done was to install the filters. When the reception issues return I will remove the amp (white box)...

Thank you all for your replies. Here are photos of attachments to my aerial mast. They are about 10 foot off the ground so this is the best I could do.

Thank you, Martin. May I tentatively ask, what is the purpose of amplifying the signal? Presumably, as it's digital, it's to get it above a certain minimum threshold?

It's like pulling teeth (to you) because you know what you know and I don't know what you know or need to know. We were discussing picture quality. Is it such a leap to think that's why you asked about the signal amplifier?

Didn't realise signals could be too high? Here is the signal amplifier Oddly, the SD channels improved last night. And when I look at them now, they seem fine. I won't bypass the signal amplifier as I wouldn't be able to detect any difference in picture quality.

Thank you for the reply. I will do the bypass tomorrow. The chain of command is Aerial > Restoretv.uk filter > signal amplifier > Humax > TV (I think). I will check that tomorrow.
