I had also experienced this issue but in my case the new error message lasted for only 10 or 15 seconds and not to the extent Martin did. Glad to realise that this is not a bug but a feature. :)

suggest It's a bit quicker if you press "Schedule" and "Red", which accesses the EPG downloaded onto the HDD when the box is switched on
Well, it would be nice if there is an update but I have heard nothing about it so I am not optimistic. I have sent a Twitter message to Humax and I will report back any response I get.
