My Yamaha AV amp automatically gives me Dolby Digital 5.1 on nearly all the newest BBC programs and on newer feature films on Channel 4, but I have never seen a DD symbol on the i-plate. ITV HD is always in ProLogic, I've never really looked into this as I was just glad the HDR Fox T2 could...
Thanks everyone, I use 1Password on my Mac, does much the same as LockNote I should think, but you've still got to remember to enter the data. Guess I was so keen to get past the login and start playing with remote scheduling, I skipped that part.
Cheers from .... err, oh bugger, where did I...
I have forgotten my Remote Scheduling password. Noted it down somewhere, but I've forgotten that too!
God, I hate getting old. Is their a way to reset my account?
Cheers from... er, oh yea, Mark
iPhone webif was at 0.0.2 and webif 0.7.3 so I updated the package list and installed latest versions, all better now, very slick.
I had some webif hangs when upgrading in the past, could the packet have written it's new version number but not fully updated the code?
Thanks for the prompt...
I still get this dialog when trying to set a recording with the iPhone web interface, though I can using the full size interface on my iPhone, I much prefer yours. Could I also point out that when viewing the schedule page, tapping on a scheduled recording does not take you anywhere, I assume...
Settings - Preferences - Parental Controls.
Allows you to set a pin number for various sorts of content, internet content or programs with a guidence rating or all programs being recorded.
Anyone wanting to watch a restricted recording would have to enter a four digit pin number (default is...
Just seeking clarification(sorry if I seem a bit slow), but if I upgrade to OS X Lion, I will no longer be able to mount my Humax on the desktop as a drive?
Had to retune the Humax yesterday. Mendip Transmitter - North Somerset. Backed up setting using the 0.7.2 web interface, rescanned, restored settings and restarted the hummy, everything worked fine. Great time saver, thanks af123.
Please try and report back,
I've got Toast 9 and have managed to re-encode a HD recording but the sound track distorted (everyone sounded like they were breathing helium) funny for about 10 seconds then frustating.
I'm thinking about upgrading to Toast 11, but only if it can handle humax HD...
The satellite S2 standard must have a wider customer base for elgatos hardware to support it, but not DVB T2.
Apple are very keen on H.264, using it as an alternative to flash movies on web sites and through iTunes movie downloads. I'm surprised Quicktime doesn't play humax .ts files, perhaps...
I knew they supported other tuners but didn't know there were so many. Whether any of them handle DVB T2 is something I'd like to look into.
I'm a long time EyeTV user as well, the first software version I had was 1.8.
Interesting that the 3.5 software has no problem decoding a DVB T2...
Elgato EyeTV 3.5 is a Mac OSX application that turns a Apple Mac computer into a PVR, with Elgato's own USB tuners you can watch and record standard and HiDef digital terrestrial and satellite TV.
Unfortunately Elgato does not support the UK's DVB T2 HiDef broadcasts, however it does have a...
I'm a Mac user and have been stuck with VLC and a editor called Aunsoft Video Converter, they play and edit Humax SD files well and Humax HD files, so long as the original HD program was broadcast with a Pro-logic sound track.
If the program has a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound track both applications...
Tried both of these public servers and checked out mxtoolbox site, unfortunately I'm still not getting emails. Googling the server names revealed that BT are making it harder to send emails to these servers to protect their customers from spammers and other naughty people. Looks like one day...
