Humax HDR-FOX T2 no sound with new Panasonic smart tv

Just for info - current Panasonic TVs (up to and including 2020 models) DON'T have HDMI 2.1 - they have HDMI 2.0 ports, but with certain HDMI 2.1 features (such as Auto Low Latency Mode) enabled. Either way, ports such as HDMI or USB are always backwards compatible, so a device like a Humax...

Question about transferring recordings from old HDD to new HDD via PC

I hadn't mentioned the obvious physical issues I'm having with the drive (constant clicking) in my initial post so it's possible Trev might have been going to suggest installing the custom firmware and troubleshooting the drive, if it was simply issues with failed recordings or a sluggish OS ...

Issues after the 7 March retune event

I'm on Winter Hill and I've completely lost UHF C55 (now COM7) on my HDR Fox-T2 since the re-tune on Wednesday - I could receive it prior to this, although it was one of the weaker signals so I used to get occasional pixellation. Oddly, my (older) Panasonic plasma TV picks up C55 just fine...
