The issue is client side - the Humax (both) has the new icons confirmed working- That was on my laptop; when I booted my tower PC the new icons are showing without intervention, likewise on Edge for Android (mobile phone). I'll investigate the laptop later today.

I did as instructed press ctrl-f5 but that might not be the correct combination for Edge on Windows 10 - I'm afk so it awaits my return to experiment further.

Update. Since stopping the processing of the particular file that was causing the disc re-reads (that slowed response and increased temperature), normal service has resumed. Yesterday I updated the firmware of both HDRs to 3.13 and have installed fix-disk. I intend to run fix-disk but am unsure...

fix-disk wasn't installed. Requires CF3.10; currently on CF3.03. Further intervention required, ie. sorting a suitable thumb-drive etc. Temp settled at 51º

Have you access to any other device that does have HDMI-out? A Blu-Ray player, or a modern upscaling DVD player, or a tablet, phone, or media streamer? That could prove the new modulator behaves in the same way as the old one. Put more succinctly than my wording.
