Adapter received, plugged in, on changing TV source to Component get the message "No signal", though the signal comes in fine through the Humax HDMI link. Strange... have tested the adapter, all connections fine between the SCART outpins 1-21 odd numbers only, the RCA connections and the two...

It has a "component connection" which it illustrates with five RCA cables, two audio and three video. Up to me to provide the SCART adaptor from the Humax I guess - does this sound right? If so will look around for some gold RCA plugs :)

Gold, but worthless: I find the Samsung TV has no SCART input - all that glistens etc...

Not a huge problem, but does anyone have any idea why the volume control does not control the volume when using the Humax remotef for my PVR-9300? The bar appears on screen but does not alter volume. Mute works. HDMI connection. Remote is RT-531B Can control via TV remote, just the inconvenience...

Main reason is it will sit there burning watts for no reason for 18 hours a day, so cost to me and the environment the main reason. All workarounds failed, so in the end I will power off at midnight and power on at 6pm, and pick through the guide for items to record. Be nice to get the NVRAM...

Update: 5 minutes recording per hour not enough, 10 minutes every 30 minutes works. Will try 15 minutes per hour overnight. Very relaxing spending Sunday watching the 9300 display slot :) Paddy
