Thanks for the comment. Your comment of a self-contained package is correct. I don't run a it system wide but it is installed with Administration rights.
I run the programme from a known folder and it's version does not report the November version and the update, -U, fails.
Thanks for your...
Can anyone help?
I use YouTube-dl on Windows and the update option fails, youtube-dl-exe -U reports ERROR: can't find the current version. Please try again later.
I've visited https://yt-dl.org/ and only receive an old version not the latest November version.
Can anyone say whats happening...
I know this is an old thread but so far I have not been able to find anything else, so if duplicating sorry.
A couple of weeks back my humax HDR-Fox-T2 crashed stating that some of the packages was disabled, but not which ones.
Since then when make a schedule I have to re-boot. I've looked...
First last night, Sunday, I had three manual recordings over two boxes, all look to have worked correctly so as indicated above, it looks to be just a display issue only, but I will check the raw database view to confirm.
Thanks for you comment MymsMan, I did think it may be underlying...
From one simple test it would be true, but I'll know tonight for sure.
Is there anything that can be done or known why its happening, it never did before the GMT to BST time change and nothing happened last summer?

Thanks for the info hairy_mutley, it should work as you have it. I used the following
ffmpeg -i in.mkv out.mp4
and it worked fine, like you said the video and audio parts look like defaults. It took nearly as long as my conversion programme would, but I did use my laptop to do it, so I...
I did find that the forum wouldn't accept three letter searches. After posting this I randomly browse the forum and found info which help me to decide my next move, i.e. use mp4.
But before I just convert everything I look at ffmpeg as it may be quicker and achieve what I'm after...
