Has anyone confirm'd that the same old mediaID and dnla server trick works for decrypting stuff? not that there is much they can do ultimately as we'd soon be able to reverse it but would be interesting to see if they have done anything at all even as a token gesture

Further to this; I've found a bit of a neater solution for SD stuff that doesn't involve decrypting. Still use serviio but mount the Humax DNLA server onto my linux box using djmount ( http://djmount.sourceforge.net/ ) then add the mount point into Serviio - jobsa! works great with my Sony TV...

Just wanted to post to say thanks to af123 for the Foscam stuff - a great addition to the custom portal! I really want the video streaming stuff to work now though - wish the camera's had a built in DNLA server like the Humax! Experimenting with some fuse stuff to try and get videostream.asf...

I've had a cifs share from a linux server mounted on mine exactly as described above for months and months without any issues. I don't really pay attention to the reported utilisation in the Humax UI however so don't know how bonkers that goes.

WRT disabling encryption - Has anyone ever tried changing the value of OPERATOR_TYPE in TBL_FACTORYCONFIG ( /var/lib/humaxtv/setup.db ) - its set to 11 on mine.. I would change it on mine but if it somehow mucked things up and risk'd a recording of "Strictly" I would be in big trobs.

Wow the custom portal stuff is great! I've just got a Foscam IP camera and thanks to the test1.jim example been able to make a basic monitor for it. I looked at all the Images eg "HumaxPortal.png" and can't see a blank blue one anywhere? am I being blind and one is included? or is there any...

I use Serviio on a linux box to transcode and stream SD to my Sony - decrypting the content first on the Humax then smbmount onto the linux box - sure you could do likewise on a mac mini. Don't think the Humax cpu will be fast enough to do any realtime transcoding and streaming. You just need...
