    Hummmm

Does anyone know of a source of anti-vibration grommets as fitted to the Humax Foxsat HDD between disc and caddy? The mechanical hum from my Foxsat, amplified by the wooden shelf it is on, is driving me nuts.

Foxsat HDR stuck in delete loop

Update: It's now all working OK I thought you would all be extremely amused to know what the problem was. The hard drive power plug was not connected to the main pcb :roflmao: !!! How did this happen? I had noticed a lot of mechanical hum from the unit when it was placed on a shelf. So, I took...

Foxsat HDR stuck in delete loop

Yes. it was visible before before but this is a side issue. The prime concern is that I cannot get a browser to open the Humax CF web interface despite seeing the humax IP in my router DHCP list and being able to ping it.

Foxsat HDR stuck in delete loop

No, neither the web interface nor telnet is working now... ...seemed like catch 22 to me too. So... I started again. I re-installed the CF from scratch using a fresh USB stick. It went fine according to the TV and the Humax display. I had to re-boot. It all appeared fine. I went back to my...

Foxsat HDR stuck in delete loop

I'm somewhat confused. I dont have instructions on installing just the telnet package via USB. I only have instructions for the initial custom firmware FOXSAT-HDR_upgrade.hdf via USB, which I have done. Does this not include the telnet package? I don't think the problem lies in the Humax. A...

Yes, when I first got to the Web Interface Page (after using MS Edge and then Chrome after clearing the cache) I installed Telnet onto the Humax. I would do it again to be double sure but I can't get to the Interface page from any browser now

Hello Back again. After working for a few days I now can't see get the Web Interface to come up. I can ping the Foxsat IP address but I can't see it in Windows Explorer "network" and Chrome says: "This site can’t be reached 192.168.0.11 refused to connect." What should I do next?

You are spot on. If I use MS Edge, I get the full interface front page http://192.168.0.11/index.jim Well done and thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to investigate your other suggestions re getting Chrome to work.
