Many thanks again for your insights. I do suspect that the hardware may be giving up the ghost given its age which I can't really complain about. I am aware of the DLNA issue but got the package to resolve that years ago. The strange thing is that I wasn't doing anything bar just switching on...
Thanks for the reply. I have done most of what I see there but will try again to see if the resets stop happening. Any ideas what the fault codes mean?
I've been having problems for some time now regarding my Hummy losing all settings and starting with Installation Setup. I've checked the disk drive and all appears OK. The last few resets haven't registered as crashes and therefore aren't listed in the crashlog. The last recorded is as...
My system includes the network and all equipment connected to it, including the hummy. As I said in my original post, my hummy was working fine before I went on holiday but whilst away something happened to it as I lost remote access. Now that I have upgraded to 3.13, all is working well...
I quote "The only functional change is the last one which resolves a fairly uncommon problem where startup of the custom firmware components can be delayed by up to a minute, usually leading to the display of a web page saying that the internal hard disk has not been found. This was being caused...
Have installed 3.13 and all appears to be back to normal. This is very strange as I never experienced any problems with 3.12 until this behaviour. Thanks again for those who tried to help and particularly to prpr for directing me to the latest build.
Just read the release notes on 3.13 and it explains exactly what has been happening to my hummy. Why didn't I look at this before??? Anyway, am now looking to download and install. I'll report back once complete. Many thanks for your patience and my apologies for my ignorance. :)
Thanks. I actually found cli (didn't look closely enough at the options for which I apologise). See my previous about access to telnet. I can only access for a short time then blocked for some reason. I will look to install 3.13. You never know, it might just solve everything (I hope).
My apologies for my ignorance. I can initially access telnet then when the system resettles telnet no longer accesses the hummy and no idea why. I also missed the cli option which caused me confusion in the first instance. I am now attempting to provide the information previously requested...
My system is running the following and has been for some time without this issue:
Web interface version: 1.4.4-10
Custom firmware version: 3.12 (build 3965)
Humax Version: 1.03.12 (kernel HDR_CFW_3.12)
Loader Version: a7.30
I have just tried running crash diag but comes back empty. Crash...
Makes sense, I suppose, except for the fact that my recording schedule was not empty. Perhaps I should re-install all packages? Also can't understand why, when I try to check for updates, I am told that I have no internet access so can't update via webif.
Nope. On holiday for 2 months and noticed that hpkg.tv could not communicate whilst I was away (I usually programme recordings). On return found the above behaviour. As I have said, the strange thing is that it will record successfully from the schedule and after the reboot, I can then use...
