    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

Having lived with it for several month, it's constantly driving me batty. The slow GUI is the only gripe I have. From pressing a button to the recordings list coming up is often 5 seconds. So long that i'm waggling the remote in the air and pressing buttoms again as I think it's not been...

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

The aerial cable terminates into a plug which goes into the Humax, there's no joints or wall outlets inbetween.

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

It was the HDMI cable that was the primary issue. I went and got a premuim one and repeating the tests on various channels the stuttering has pretty much stopped. There is an occasional one if im really trying hard and whizzing around the menus, but with the transparency on there's no break up...

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

I beg your pardon, I didn't understand, however my TV has RCA, and having connected the humax to it, no stuttering!! I turned on the onscreen transparency and all the iff channels, nothing, just working, but the quality!!! 80's VCR I have already tried two HDMI cables, so maybe there is the...

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

TV through the RF output doesn't have the stutter, however thats because im not able to watch anything from the humax. What I have noticed was the signal is reduced, but if I plug in the TV directly to the aerial the quality comes back up.

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

What I can't get my head around is that the quality of the signal should not make any difference to the menu overlays. If the live picture is free from artifacts etc, then logically, it would remain clear when a menu appears on top of it. The cables are all fine, a fairly short run to the aeriel...

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

Humax basically washed their hands of it citing the issue was the signal rather than an issue with the unit. So im returning the unit. Buyer Beware!!

Turning off transparency has helped (in as much that I don't now get distracted by it), however the audio still stutters. Here's a good example https://photos.app.goo.gl/yfbUyaxUcDYQ7uZz2 I have copied the recordings off a T2 onto the internal hdd this morning and scrolling through these you...

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

My location is deep rural so getting any signal is a bonus, however im not sure if the stuttering and weak signal is related. I can watch live TV fine, looks great but the moment I open any menu the live picture in the background starts to stutter on and off. Its not on every channel, but most...

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

I had to get an aerial with lots of elements as we in a bit of a dip. the one we had was too standard and kept dropping out. It's drizzling and very misty today, so the signal might be down a little.

a full reset + additional hd format still gives the same result. no 800 channels. Huntshaw cross is our nearest transmitter I have uploaded another video, this one is more4 https://photos.app.goo.gl/ubhHO5oaSoqmfA4H2

A drive format hasn't helped. There's only a single transmitter in the area, im deep devon. The pauses on the screen are a true representation of the stuttering and not from a mobile. I might try a factory reset and if that still fails then I will get in touch with humax.

    HDR-Fox T2 vs FVP-5000T

I took a small video of the stuttering, it was a mobile in one hand and the remote in the other so forgive the shakeyness, but you will see as I open the guide (or the F button) everything gets jerky. https://photos.app.goo.gl/LsqlWZcYaqnzsYlp2 only those that have the link can view the video...
