We have re connected the Humax,we are back to it saying start system stuck in a loop going around the channels with a green screen flashing up in between, so as a last resort we will have try to get a friend to connect it to a pc. Thank you all for your help and advice

Thank you Martin, he did all that , working as you say but would like to get it working properly again as we can’t view the recorded content.

Thanks,it works properly now without the connectors except we can’t access media to view existing recordings,which is what we would like to do ,not bothered about recording if we can’t get it to work as it was before we went away.

It says bbc1 york now showing on tv can change channels in remote.

It is lit up blue and on the front in red letters is Start System , the buttons on the front do nothing
