It's been a few days since I reported my issues about the inability to view external hard drives correctly from within the webif. I wonder if this problem is related to the virtual-disk2 problems another member is encountering
Any help would be appreciated
I have checked both of my other Humax HDR boxes, one has the same problem, the other is unaffected. the version of mvdisks is 0.3 on the affected boxes and 0.1 on the box that is okay. So I presume there is some issue with version 0.3, can I roll back to 0.1 to see if this is the case.
Excuse the additional question marks, yes these are real physical drives, no I did not create [USB Storage], it first appeared on my return from holiday. I can access the USB drives okay from the blue button, but not through the Webif anymore, maybe some other package as been changed which has...
Since returning from holiday I have encountered a strange occurrence with one of my Humax HDR Boxes. When viewing on the TV screen or through the webif browser the “Media”, “My Video” lists where I would usually see the external USB drives, they are showing, but are empty usb-drive1 through to...
Hi
Thanks for your continued improvements, but maybe another one?
On the Epg Page the "Switch to Grid-Style Now/Next" toggle box is located at the top left of the page
When this is selected the "Switch to Standard Now/Next" toggle box reappears at the bottom of the Epg listing, this means...
Hi
My Webif was unable to reconnect after the reboot, powering off/on usually restores it, The box being in a bedroom I had to wait until later.
I have looked at the status file editor in diagnostics, below is a copy of the status file:-
Package: tunefix
Version: 1.5.2
Depends: webif (>=...
Thanks for your help, running the remove_portals diagnostic, didn't help, I get the same error message as before?
I have tried following the recommended thread, I have installed "putty" and used telnet to send the following commands
humax# ls /mod/var/opkg/ -lR|grep portal
humax# grep -r...
Hi
I Finally got around to updating the firmware on one of HDR's to the latest version, all seems be okay, except that when I try to install the New-Portal package, I appear to get an error message, as below:-
Any ideas what the conflict might be?
Like you said it looks expensive for the parts to do the install, it may be cheaper from Toolstation if they stock what you require. They also do free next day delivery if your order is above £10.00
Hi
Sorry for the delay in following up and thanks for all your advise. I have now resolved the problem, by renaming the "FOXSAT HDR" to "FOXSAT-HDR" in the System Settings.
As Black Hole suspected Windows 10 didn't like the space between the names, whereas Windows 7 wasn't so fussy
Since moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I seem to have lost the ability to view any Fox-Sat HDR files in File Explorer. The Foxsat is shown in File Explorer under Network, but when clicked the attached error message is displayed, my Fox T2 unit is also shown under Network and this works okay...
Yes "MontysEvilTwin" is spot on, that is exactly the use I need it for, I was hoping the script or similar could be incorporated into the Opt+ Menu somewhere?
Maybe the command line use is the only option?
I already use this option, do you suggest that I edit the date part in the file name e.g
-20131229-2230, will this update the information in the media details, I have also found another thread on
changing timestamp
https://hummy.tv/forum/threads/change-recording-timestamp.5832/
To aid in organizing recorded program file names especially when programs have been shown out of sequence, often on 5Star, would it be possible to add an item to the the OPT+ menu, that would allow amendment of the timestamp part of the file name? Any other suggestions?
Sorry for the delay in replying, I usually do my editing on the box using the remote control. Do you think Drutt might update the original niceplice package to fix this bug or maybe you can create a stand alone package of your nsplice?
Hi
I am also having issues with nicesplice, edited Film 4+1 recordings fall short of the 2nd cut point. maybe this is because the channel derives from an HD multiplex?
I have several External Hard Disk Drives connected for archiving purposes, which until recently have worked quite well.
However one drive has started misbehaving - taking forever to read from it. Is it possible to run something like the Fix-Disk utility to perform a file system check on...
