Yes, two had been left on for a long time, though the third is regularly turned on and off several times each day.
I've noticed that the thumbnails for each recording are quite often a long time (several days in some instances) in being created. Is this something that might be related?
I just discovered that all three of my boxes have been upgraded to 1.02.28 despite having CF 2.10 installed along with disable-ota. Weird... but CF2.11 now resident on two out of the three. The third will be done once Management has finished viewing one of her (many) soaps.
Just to bring things up-to-date, a reinstall of the customised firmware and then the customised customised firmware has brought the recalcitrant box out of its sulk.
I've now got three boxes all with different 'Media Device' names: thank you! It's now much easier to see which box is which when I'm looking to play a recording from 'another' of the boxes or from Windows Media Player.
It does, though, look as though one of them, the first to get the...
I've been looking around for a Foxsat HDR at a decent price and seem to be coming across a number of retailers showing it as discontinued. Is it due for replacement? It's been on the market for a few years now...
Case seemed to matter in this instance as it threw out the instruction when I used upper case rather than lower. But I bow to your (much) superior knowledge!
Worked a treat: thanks!
The only gotcha was HDR_FOX_T2 being in upper case in your instructions and lower case in the file name on my USB stick.
One box done, the other two in the morning.
Thanks: that's really appreciated!
I've followed the instructions but am getting an error: '-/bin/sh: bsed: not found'
I've previously used web-if to change the hostname to 'Humax1' and can see that at the prompt in PuTTY so I seem to be getting to that stage ok...
Oh, and I don't mind...
Yes, and checking just now has proved the power of a forum post. Mysteriously, after weeks of waiting, the third box has announced its presence on the network...
Weird.
I have three HDR-FOX T2s on my homeplug network and all are running the latest customised firmware. All three have been installed for some weeks now.
I can access all three using Firefox and web-if (192.168.1.???) and I can see all three in Windows Media Player.
However, if I try to find...
Can anyone suggest a 500GB or 1TB hard drive with which to replace the standard 320GB hard drive in the Foxsat HDR? The recommendations I've seen to date all appear to be out of production.
It would be good if you could but wouldn't that mean repeating the build every time the firmware changed?
Certainly above and beyond any reasonable expectation!
A side issue: I'm used to going to 301 for the F1 Forum after Grands Prix but it seems not to be there though I understand it's still broadcast. Am I mistaken, or is now Freesat only?
Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was referring to the news/sport/weather etc service accessed by pressing the red button (on the SD channels).
It's intermittent in that the invitation to press red is visible at the top right of the screen sometimes and not others and it will load the pages sometimes...
The red button service only runs intermittently and I can't see any pattern. Is this a 'feature'? I'm running the latest customised firmware if that's relevant.
