I have a recollection of reading something along those lines. I currently have the "new-portal" installed. I have accessed BBC iPlayer in three different ways and in all cases it seems to behave the same:
1. Humax TV Portal.
2. new-portal.
This is what seems to happen with the new-portal (at...
Agreed. I forgot to record "The Living and the Dead"; as a new production we were expecting the usual "good picture quality" from the BBC iPlayer app on the T2; and were slightly disappointed. It was "okay" but not as good as I expected. I spent time looking for a "problem" with my end and ended...
Heads up! It seems that “Series Link” on channel 70 (“Horror”) is “absent” starting on Monday 1 August (at least for the programs I have looked at and the ones I have set to record using it; on my HDR FOX T2). From the schedule, it looks like up-coming episodes of existing series linked...
Ah! Thanks, I hadn't spotted that. It has given me a "Configuring lighttpd." and "Configuring webif.". I installed a new package without error. There are no outstanding upgrades to test with at the moment.
Moi aussi! At the moment every time I upgrade a package I get an "Internal server error" dialog and have to reboot to re-establish access to the WebIf.
The "Internal server error" dialog appears, it seems, at the end of the upgrade process, but before there is a listing about the upgrade process...
Cool, glad that it is fixed. For info: the "standard portal" still works for me for both a static and DHCP configuration. I cannot recall exactly why I am using the "new portal"; but it was because of some past problem with the "standard portal". Tested on dev machine with:
Web interface...
I just tested with mine: "127.0.0.1" appears as the DNS server address in nslookup's output when it is using DHCP, otherwise it shows the manually configured DNS address.
and: netstat -r (check the gateway is your router [to the Internet] and not (127.0.0.1)). If you haven't done so already: also check that it can make actual connections outside of your home. One way to so this would be to go to "Packages" and click on "Update package list from Internet" and wait...
It is also worth checking the network settings on the Humax itself; especially DNS if it has been set manually.
Which portal version are you using? I am using "new-portal"; in fact I just used it half an hour ago and it worked fine.
If you know how to telnet into the box and get the "cli"...
The "problem" with functions like rint() and lrint() is that their behaviour is dependant on the current rounding mode of the floating point library. I think I would conclude from what I see above (yes; I did also compile and run it on several platforms) that the compiler/run-times defaults on...
Recipes to demonstrate and recover from the problem…
Edit: Of course the problem will only show up on affected units...
For no timers: with the box in standby switch it off at the mains, count to 10 and switch it back on and let it cycle thru to standby.
But the following “works” any time...
The same happens with mine (all late models): I always use the remote, or front panel, to shut them down and restart to avoid loss of programmes. It does mean a short walk for the one; and the need to leave them long enough to have truly shutdown if it needs to be restarted to schedule a "near"...
I believe the decryption method uses "wget"! wget allows the bandwidth it uses to be limited to a specific rate (--limit-rate=RATE). Therefore the rate could be set to be "definiately slower" than the rate at which a recording will be written. That might be useful for some of the above? One...
I have recently installed the 2TB version of that drive (WD20EURX: WD AV-GP Enterprise 2TB 3.5 inch SATA Internal Hard Drive); no problems so far. It is not in the "lounge" machine so it has not seen "heavy use".
As far as "solid state hybrid drives" are concerned and as far as I understand...
Sorry if I have misunderstood what is being asked...
Codecs, file extensions, software! Some software is more capable and/or forgiving of mix ups and so forth (for example: VLC/ffmpeg).
Trajet: In a very quick test the stock music player on my SGS2 Android 4.1.2 phone appears to be able to...
I have exactly the same problem too, seen with
Web interface version: 1.0.various
Custom firmware version: 2.19/2.20
Humax Version: 1.03.06/new (RE) hardware
Loader: a7.34
First I briefly see a message onscreen saying “The channel is scrambled”, then that is replaced by “No programs are...
Bear in mind that regional programming on the SD channels (and I suspect occasional some non-regional stuff) does not currently appear on the associated HD channel.
I think it is doing it by matching the name alone; so if you “delete” “BBC ONE OXF” (or whatever yours is called these days) then...
