What happens if you start to watch a recording before allowing any processing on that file to finish? I just had a Recording Failed message when trying to do exactly that - the recording plays fine though - is that message because Hummy is confused?- Rob Singlehurst

I've not used the chaserun method yet (that's the setting you have selected). I have done some manually using the Opt+ Detect Adverts and as long as Crop is turned on in the settings then the Crop will happen automatically in the pipeline i.e. no need to Opt+ Crop. Ta :) Just added libsndfile (ffmpeg was already installed). I'll leave it a bit longer and see if it picks it up or will it need a reboot? Ahh, it's processing working now - just checked the log file - thank-you. And finished :) 5 Ads detected - New program length 2708s - about 45 mins.- Rob Singlehurst

I'm getting the same thing (I think). I invoked this manually by using the Detect Adverts in Opt+. This looks great :) Can it be setup to just go through all sub-directories (in the same way as Recursive Auto-Decrpyt) or is it used on single files? I'm using the "Traditional Processing" setting at the moment.- Rob Singlehurst

If I setup Recursive Auto-Decrpt from the My Video directory would the recordings then be watchable if I put the hard disk in another HDR-FOX T2 i.e. another motherboard encryption algorithm?- Rob Singlehurst

Yes, I can understand how the expansion and contraction would shorten the life of the hard drive, think I was just unlucky - most pc motherboards last considerably longer than 4 years.- Rob Singlehurst

Yep, I think so, it's nearly 4 years old but I have left the Power Management > Automatic Power Down - On which turns off after 3 hours I think? Has that probably helped to kill off my original mobo maybe? What do most people do with the power settings? Annoyingly, the whole plasma telly /...- Rob Singlehurst

I've got the old drive in at the moment (but have deleted all my recordings anyway as I can't use them) so will probably put the new one in once I've made a list of the packages I have installed - is there an automatic way to do this? Well, I've got the new one up and running and installed the custom firmware. Looks like it's never been used - started up at the setup screen, nothing on the hard disk and the hard disk fan perfectly clean! I imagine they will only provide the 6 wire PSU so that won't fit the 8 wire mobo (that's what my poorly one has). I got mine Christmas 2011 so pretty much the same age. Someone has mentioned that the newer models have 6 wires not 8. As I now happen to have a newer one here I just checked and yes, the newer ones have 6 wires - so the chances are that a new PSU would only have the 6 wire connector too :( The...- Rob Singlehurst
