DetectAds gets added to the routine processing cycle when it is installed, but it seems not to have been uninstalled properly (or perhaps the uninstall routine is buggy, because I don't suppose it gets used much).
Pending a proper solution, I suggest you re-install it, go into settings and set...
I take slight issue with that: for "you" read "I". The OP cannot anticipate what results others might have, and should only present his own experience.
I got it wrong anyway, I'm not sure how I counted only 5.
Seems like a long shot, but perhaps there is something about your installation causing a notch at UHF44.
You've listed 6 UHF channels but only 5 mux names. Is ARQ A on UHF44? Presuming so, it seems odd that UHF44 is the only one down on quality. Are you sure that's not the "local" mux (usually much lower power)?
No.
The "capacitor fix" is for a situation where the unit repeatedly reboots, at the point in the boot cycle where the HDD gets powered up. It can be diagnosed by disconnecting the HDD: if the unit then boots normally, replacing a specific capacitor on the PCB may fix it.
Discussion here...
I'm not overly familiar with a Pi solution, but it would only be a case of assembling the hardware and installing enthusiast software, ready made the same as CF.
Well, I never knew that! I've seen plenty about early TV, but no mention of alternating filters. Heck, the refresh rate was low enough in mono, so I can't imagine persistence of vision working well enough for colour rendition!
I was watching U&Yesterday (Mendip UHF36) when the HD-FOX was due to record Strictly (Mendip UHF32), but it didn't. When I realised I manually switched over to BBC ONE and (after a short delay) it started recording, but I am a little perplexed that the AR system didn't work.
The secret of Roman concrete was lost, I'm not sure they've worked it out even now, but I'm pretty sure it would have been based on lime. The modern cement is known as Portland. I can't vouch for who invented it.
Ada Lovelace invented the computer? What's all that about??! Lovelace is known...
Replace the PSU you mean? The risk with that is you find the PSU is not the only fault (or the fault at all). It's shooting in the dark unless you have a known working unit and can swap sub-assemblies to fault-find.
