af123 had a quick search on the HD model for this file ("find / name=*.db -print") and it's nowhere to be found. Is this part of the dlna service, do you think?
Update.
Ignore all that about the ENC flag. Things work a whole lot better if the DLNA server is running!!
Sorry.
So as long as the new auto-unprotect script has run, the files can be downloaded through the decryption services of the DLNA server.
So just to be clear.
Old HD files which have the ENC flag cleared from the earlier auto-unprotect need the flag reset. The box also has to have the "media sharing" on i.e. DLNA server running. New files have to wait until the auto-unprotect script has run.
Then by simply re-enabling the ENC...
I don't think so, as the script won't check files older than the /mod/.unprotect.last and even then, I would expect it to only check files that have still have the enc flag set.
Having updated the auto-unprotect package, I have deleted said dot file. I have then reset the enc flag and waiting...
You don't need to copy it back. You can view it on the Humax by chosing the media -> USB -> virtual disk and watch it from there. Also, I believe the mediatomb is set up by default to serve from the virtual disk.
Just a quick note. Sometimes the "available" section of the Upgrades listing isn't populated. Haven't done any serious testing, though. Just noticed that there were upgrades to webif and ffmpeg. Only ffmpeg had something in the "available" field. After updating webif, went back to the Upgrades...
Steve,
Thanks for that. I'll give it a try later. Neat idea to look for the mounted directory and keep trying the mount. I think I might put a bigger sleep timer in there, or maybe increase it during the loop to slow it down to looking every five minutes after an hour, say.
PS My shell script...
Wow, pulled in the 0.6.3-2 and the Now/Next is there too!! Brill, and works for me with the genre search, too. On both HD and HDR boxes!!
Yay.
Whoooops. Correction on the HDR box, it's still not working correctly.
Also, on the HD box, a few repeated searches seems to have confused it and it's...
af123,
Really appreciate the efforts as always. Just a minor issue...
It does work now.....
buuuuttt, the keyword search only works for typed it keywords, not the predefined genre keywords in blue. They lock the epg search. Upgraded mongoose to 3.0-1.
Would it also be possible to add a...
Steve,
Something simple that you can share with us. I have a S98 start-up script which mounts a network drive but would be interested in having that poll for the network drive and then mount it. Do you use cron to do the job?

af123,
Sorry, another disk pie-chart bug (webif 0.6.3). I have my laptop drive mounted by a script in the init.d dir and that's the one now showing up in the pie chart usage!!
df -h

/dev/root 14.9M 14.9M...
Just a quick thought. I don't think you'll get a USB stick big enough for the box to format. It needs a minimum partition size for some things and I think that puts it past most sticks. Maybe it'll work with 64Gb? I know it won't work for a 16Gb stick, and I haven't got anything bigger to try with.
Morning... drive still flashing away, though the HDR has gone into standby!
Saw the option to auto copy when I plugged the drive in through the front port when running, so took the machine up on it's offer to copy and it's still going. Expect it to finish when I'm at work today....
