Backup worked first time. Haven't done a restore, though it does add an option to restore the backup file now. Wanted to add something to the Scheduled recordings so went to the EPG and did a search for Films/Drama and got an error. Repeated the search for sport and got the same error as in...- Trevor Jasper

Just a minor issue from me. In the OPT+ option, the "Mark Watched" doesn't fit in the box and so the "Watched" part wraps down and interferes with the "Rename" option. It's fine with "Mark New" text. Am going to try the backup now. Trevor- Trevor Jasper

Foxy - An HD recording backup utility for the HDR-Fox T2 now released !

I'm liking the new interface as the media viewer, especially the information. In the past it used to transfer the file for local viewing when clicking - I get a browse.jim file when chosing to "save link as..". Is there still an opportunity to transfer? A future enhancement? Sorry af123 but it looks like my /media/virtual is mounted as /dev/sda1 which is what the external USB is mounted as (having left it in for boot-up) and shows exactly the same useage etc, but as 'ls' in that directory lists nothing. All the other mod stuff works fine with everything still...- Trevor Jasper

Jonesey, Do you have an external hard drive plugged into the rear of the unit? I do and have noticed that the disc allocation changes (main hdd becomes /dev/sdb not sda) I guess because the firmware is designed to boot off the external USB first. Then all the scripts fall over and nothing gets...- Trevor Jasper

Steve, Recorded a few minutes of an HD prog and in telnet copied it to a cifs-mounted share. Then I used the un-protect feature of hmt and then used the Humax on-screen opt+ feature to copy that recording (now not showing the "enc" icon) from the "USB" cifs-mounted drive to the "My Videos" on...- Trevor Jasper

af123 sent me a new hdf file to try. He said he would publish it if it worked for me. Interestingly, the "media" button - it's slow with a cifs mounted files system - shows up the "mod" directory. Tested and am in on telnet. Have run opkg update and opkg install. Looks good to me. After installing cifs and virtual-disk plus others, have successfully managed to mount a cifs share over the network. Thanks to af123, I am able to telnet to the box - YAY. More testing required, but have run opkg update, opkg install busybox, virtual-disk, cifs. Have mounted a cifs directory! Trevor- Trevor Jasper

That seems to have recovered it. It's going through a full re-install. Seems that a downgrade is not possible at the moment, unless others have better luck. How's the HDF file going af123? Trevor- Trevor Jasper

Just tried the downgrade and the box seems to have frozen and won't initialise. Tried a second go at re-installing the software and same result - green lines on front of box just going round and round just like when it's booting, but it's not getting anywhere. I do have both HD and HDR, and the HD is very slow compared to the HDR for portal access - only tried internet radio not iplayer. Other menus seem to be as fast as before and similar to the HDR. Anything more we can do to help out af123 ref the different format etc? I will try and downgrade...- Trevor Jasper
