I'm picking this thread up again... ;)
af123: In this thread here: http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/fox-t2-hacking.46/page-6 post #102 you refer to a block cipher being used on the checksums part. Care to share which block cipher? And what keys and what kind of feedback?
More info is in you inbox...
Yes, but that's old source code, while most things are the same, some have changed. I couldn't find any such things in the actual hd-fox loader.
Well. Thanks for trying, but I think it's a dead end for me anyway.
Has anyone tried modding the databases to accomplish certain things?
I see one field named "DIGITAL_CONTENT_PROTECTION" for example...
Resorting the channels by editing the logical channel number?
Can anyone dump the setup.db from a hdr-fox t2?
For anyone wanting to look at the databases and...
It's just a matter of configuring something on the same subnet.
And if it's for factory testing or service or something, that means there's a way in... ;)
Thanks!
192.0.2.x wasn't exactly the first net that I would have tried... Bad bad humax to use the documentation net as default... ;)
And thanks for the idea about the databases. I can do the same on my box... :)
If there is a built-in manual setting or something like that, it would be able to work if you just could figure out the ip.
I wasn't offended in any way, just wanted to clarify what I was asking for. :)
Thanks for the answers. I realize my question was a bit on the newbie side as I wrote it my that wasn't my intention. Sorry if I was a bit short on background or additional description.
But my question is still: If there is no DHCP server available and a static ip is not set, what ip, if any...
For me MIPS is ok with IDA pro... ;) Deconstructing parts of the bootloader was quite easy since broadcom has been so kind to publish an older version of the CFE source code... Strings and magic numbers make great reference points...
Anyway. How did you intend to look in the bootloader? I think...
Black-hole: I know. I have a pctv nanostick dvb-t2, but that's the only one I know about.
Sam: Sweden has adopted it but the market is probably too small to make a difference...
Interesting.
Did the board look like the one in the HDR? pics here: http://myhumax.org/blog/?tag=hdr-fox-t2
If so, which one of the three four-hole places is labeled UART0?
