Also missed several recordings today after installing redring. Didn't specifically reboot but I installed last night so the box will have been off all night.
Will update and see if this fixes the problem.
You should be able to stream from the phone but you will have to look for the phone on the Humax and play. Don't think you will be able to use the push functionality you sometimes see.
I've been having similar problem with left over hmt files. Some of the recordings are gone but some still remain but just as hmt files. I'll upgrade again when I get chance.
Just done a quick test on the latest version. All working well so far, items deleted still playable. Can't test for auto deletion from the bin yet but have set it to 1 day so should have some deleting themselves tomorrow.
The wireless helper ensures the wireless network comes up when the box turns on to record. By default with the T2 the wireless will only come up when the box is turned on to "full on" position for viewing. Having the wireless up when in recording only mode is useful if you go away for example...
Updated but still being funny, post-delete the files are always 84mb. This recording I was able to play ok but only the first 2 mins/84mb worth. Playback stops before the end of the time bar, it's expecting more but just bombs out to the media browser.
I've set up the undelete. Seems to be working well so far. Two items moved ok. I like the way it keeps the directory structure even if you haven't deleted the folder, will make it easier to find stuff.
One problem I found was the resume play function is broken on the moved files, selecting it...
Thanks, I had a vague recollection 1080i or 720p were picked depending on the content (sport being better at 720p) but I hadn't realised we used solely 1080i in the UK.
Someone will be able to verify this with more certanty than I but as far as I understand it:
1920x1080 and 1140x1080 can both be 1080p or 1080i. The 1080 refers to the vertical resolution which in both cases is 1080 lines/pixels. In the 1440x1080 broadcasts there is less horizontal resolution...
My thoughts are (and I'm stating this because there will be others) I am perfectly happy with AR so am not especially fussed about this functionality. However if it exists, I might give padding unreliable channels a try. For me to try it I wouldn't want to pick and choose channels because I have...
Someone may be able to clarify that also, it certainly was poor but may be better now. It is the 'lesser' channels in general that do a poor job with meta-data etc.
That looks doable. If I get chance in the next few days I'll have a go at this modification. I think for ease of use a "*f" or similar would be a lot better than [FLATTEN] which is quite lengthy to enter via the remote.
I think channels would definitely be the way forward. I mainly watch BBC content and never miss a start or end, where AR fails is channel 5 etc who have always messed up series recording, a.r. etc. Using channels keeps the implementation simple from a user perspective, per-recording would have a...
