I like that solution, a grid view in webif would be ideal for the series specific actions. This approach looks very powerful, the only slight problem I can think of is that series filer auto moves files depending on where you moved them before, thus requiring no input from the user where as this...
I agree the best solution would be to combine the two applications into one solution which handles both flattening, filing and imho flattening filed stuff.
I use filer to file joint, mine and the wife's stuff into directories. I'd like to then try flatten within those. I think flatten is the appropriate place for it, otherwise series-filer would be duplicating flatten functionality.
I think maybe the best approach would be to have a setting in web-if, flatten-by-default or dont-flatten-by-default and then the presence of a marker file '.foldername' or '.flatten.foldername' in the directory would change the behaviour on that folder to the the opposite. I think the...
Not sure how it is done but it will be possible in some way. I think your idea of hiding the full filesytem for less technical users (or for day-to-day operation) is good. It would certanly reduce the risk of messing something up. Maybe an option can be put into the webif to allow full or...
I find it very useful. One of the best additions to the box. Allows me to keep folders of my tv, the wife's and joint stuff and have it all nicely sorted away rather than having a huge list of folders. This would be a great addition to the repos so that more people can take advantage of this.
I have a feature suggestion for RS:
I've just been browsing my scheduled recordings for series which have finished. I'm going to set them up as searches so that if they come back they can be recorded (or emailed to me). It would be great if there were a button in the grid to set up a scheduled...
A new aerial might help, mounting on the roof might help, replacing the wiring might help. A combination of those will probably sort you but could be 1 or all 3 required. Maybe see what your signal is like for your area, see if a neighbour has a good signal, if so then you know it's your...
I switched from auto-unprotect to fast-unprotect because it appeared to use a file system listener rather than run via cron. I noticed there is a new version of auto-unprotect. Fast-unprotect doesn't seem to be listed on the package list. Should I stick with it or go back to auto-unprotect? Cheers
It might be a bit over the top but frequently checking for updates in the background and offering to install them would be very cool, Windows Update style. Or even a "always keep me up-to-date" type option which requires no user interaction.
Would be brilliant if there were a way to download recordings. I tried this on Android via the full webif but it didn't work. Would love to dl a recording straight to the phone for watching away from home.
Cheers
Same problem on Android. The standard Android browser is Webkit which is essentially the same as Safari. No problems on desktop browsers that I have noticed. I guess it is either something to do with how scrolling is handled on mobile devices or maybe mobile browsers do not understand or allow...
80 is the standard port for web sites/apps/pages and in this case the poster is referring to the website for the mail server (ie webmail) rather than any service related to mail handling. So if you are hosting more than one site/app ie webif and Outlook Web Access then at your router you have...
