I think it has most common codecs anyway does it not? It's the containers it has more problem with (e.g. mkv) which I think will be implemented in software.
This doesn't work for me, I have HDMI to TV and then stereo phono connection to an amp (don't have surround sound). In this scenario, HD is much quieter and the Humax volume control affects HD as well as SD and hence the fix of turning it down does not work.
I found it better to use a wired connection than wireless. Also I found that using the back USB port resulted in more problems than the front. I have noticed a similar problem when testing the dongle in my PC, it seems to be influenced by the location, presumably because of interference.

I suggest you maybe go for 3-5 mods so that there is not an over reliance on any particular one. This might seem a lot at first but if the activity on the site increases well then you are better covered.
