There have been about 3 software updates and this hasn't been fixed. I don't see them ever fixing it. I'm not sure whether it only happens when the 3 tuners are all recording but it's unreliable so you really need to just record any program you want to see to guarantee seeing the ending
What's the benefit of setting a watch reservation, waiting 5 minutes, pressing record OVER just setting a recording in the first place??????

Thats been an issue for a while. Mentioned it in my 2 cents thread. Your lucky you recorded the end of the program because essentially, pause TV simply does not, never has worked. The play back simply quits back to live when the live program ends, so you never get to see the end
I can only guess that the 'not able to watch a live programme from the guide' bug, and the 'not able to set series link from live program' bug are related. Neither of which will be fixed

It's sometimes not possible to view a live program from guide view. It often only prompts to record. So you have to close the guide and defect the channel manually. Another bizarre behaviour they can't be bothered to fix
You can still record the live episode just by pressing record. It's just absurd you can set up a series link and they still haven't bothered sorting out out
The "to be deleted" menu had no use, unlike the "recent" menu which was brilliant. Shame they chose to delete the wrong one in the last update.
I don't think the box had any control of which programs are series linked, and quite a lot of movies on channel 5 get rec'd several times as a series...
There's is no dedicated so button but it can be mackled to skip. You have to
Press a button to lift the navigation menu
Press cursor up to change behaviour of the cursor buttons from FF&rw to Skip
Then use the cursor buttons to skip

Any 5000 owners able to confirm these 4000 problems exist on Media/usb player
1/ videos no longer resume play from where you left off, they start over each time
2/ videos are not longer sorted in A-Z order so Series plays content in wrong order
3/ When Starting a video from the Recent menuand...
Pretty sure you can transfer as MP4 then copy mp4s to record menu as right for type
I'm using an external 1 tb drive and I know that resume play no longer works with external media. They also broke series play from short cut. It now serious plays the next unrelated short cut instead of the next...
The replies from customer service are always to reset the box because this does not admit problems with the design and suggest it's just your box and your fault

I had to reset my recording schedules but noticed all the channels were properly refreshed, ITV3 gone back to 10, load of new channels and load of new Channel logos (not sure how long I've been...
My ITV3 seems to have moved and I've got some channels don't seem to be from my Region. When I do a new channel search there's no mention of region although I do feel sure that our region was mentioned when I first set up the box. So my question is how do I change the TV region in the settings?
I wouldn't expect the user interface to speed up any time if ever.
It's always been very slow because every key press is cached so that every time you press a key it will take as long as it takes to load that information in and only then will it start to process each key press in turn
