This sounds no different from the problem that I have had (and previously discussed) that stops me from using chase decrypt and ad-detect, i.e. pixelation being added to the live recording.
My "Paramount Network" (54) does not seem to have a channel icon. It is not in the previous list, so I presume that there has never been one. Does anyone have the wherewithall to make one?
Strangely, I have just tried to schedule 21:00 this evening on BBC TWO HD and have seen exactly the same "empty" "Programme details" dialog as Mihaid has reported.
I have 2 HDRs; humax1 (28073816) exhibits the problem and does not have the latest RS beta installed, humax2 (427573816) is OK and...
It appears that a lot of people use decrypt and detect ads during recording without problems, I find that it causes picture breakup of the recording. So that is a possibility to consider and easy to verify.
I used to find that decryption while recording resulted in unwatchable recordings (the discussions are on these forums). We never got to the bottom of why I had problems when other didn't, so I just continue to avoid doing the two together.
The OSMC maximum samba level that I referred to in the last post is not applicable to this problem as is applies to an OSMC samba client.
For me, the solution was as follows (and may apply to connecting any legacy samba client to a post Jan 2018 OSMC samba server). The fix is applied to OSMC...
Thanks for the pointer.
OSMC does have an option for setting the maximum samba level which is currently set to samba 3. It implies that this is a maximum negotiated level, so I had assume that it could negotiate down to a lower level if need be. But under the setting there is a comment about...
I have been using a RaspberryPi as a video server for my HDR-Fox-T2 for some time now.
The RPi has a 4Tb USB drive, is running OSMC and sharing the drive through samba.
The HDR has [ModSettings]/smb to support the samba connection, hence I have been able to select the 4Tb drive via USB to play...
Just checked script the actual script that I am running at home
ffmpeg -i in.mkv -vcodec copy -acodec copy out.mp4
I think that the 2 codec copy parameters are probably the default so may be unnecessary.
The "in" and "out" may be whatever you want, but the ".mkv" and ".mp4" are essential as...
I have found that a lot of mkv files that will not play are ok if you use Windows ffmpeg to swap their container to MP4.
Try ffmpeg -i in.mkv out.mp4
Because it is not converting, it is similar in speed to a straight copy.
It seems that I had detect-ads before decrypt. Anyway, how does this look now?
recurse 9 or {now {<= 0400} now {> 0500} } action stop
# Queue for Decrypt
recurse 9 flag ODEncrypted !queue any action {queue decrypt}
# Queue for DetectAds
recurse 9 bookmarks 0 !flag Addetection !textmatch...
OK, thanks for the advice.
As for the mechanism... it must be different in my case, I don't use chaseget (I have found it to cause glitches when watching something at the same time, but that is another story.
The vanilla files show a file time just after recording ends. The "-dec" files show a...
I am sure that this has been discussed in the past, but my searches have not managed to find a reference.
I seem to have a number of files around ending with "-Decrypt" along with their vanilla equivalent. Both show the green "Dec" & "Ad" symbols. Both filesets are complete (.ts, .thm, .mht &...
There has been a tendency of late for UK TV to wait til the new year to run US autumn series to avoid problems with the US' long Christmas break. Keep an eye on https://www.geektown.co.uk/tvairdates/scorpion/
I have built several PCs over the years. I have always built with upgrade in mind, but by the time I have seriously looked at upgrade (other than extra RAM or HDD), it has always seemed more sensible to do a total rebuild.
These days, there is so much more choice, and compatibility can be a...
