Bugger!
After nearly two weeks of no 'green screen' it appears that it is back. SWMBO has had several occurrences in yesterday and today. I really thought downgrading the bootloader had cured it, but alas, no.
I have swapped my HDRs back again as the 'fault' causes too much aggro. You might...
An update:
SWMBO has been using the HDR since last Sunday. The unit/TV have been in/out of standby many times and we have not had a single occurrence of 'green screen'.
I have probably tempted fate, but prior to downgrading the bootloader, 'green screen' happened quite often.
As an aside, I...
I know that this is a bit OT, but I have now downgraded the box to loader v7.33 from v7.34. I have decided to put the box into daily use and am sure SWMBO will tell me if she is having the 'green screen' issues.
So to recap:
The HDR [Purple] that HAS the 'green screen' problem was running...
Well, over a week later and not a single green screen issue. Since I started this thread, another thread has hinted that the boot loader version might have something to do with the problem. I will downgrade this unit to a bootloader version that matches one of my other HDRs that is ‘green screen...
I wouldn't mind trying to 'downgrade' my spare HDR from loader v7.34 to v7.33 if it is possible. That would be a good test to see if the green screen issue is indeed related to the boot loader.
On the face of it, v7.33 seems to be compatible with my setup.
I guess that this could be why some...
This is interesting. I swapped the HDD from a HDR with boot loader v7.34 last week because I was getting a regular 'green screen' issue. The HDR I moved the HDD into has loader v7.33.
I have not had ANY 'green screen' issues since.
FWIW, I also have another HDR with loader v7.30, that is also...
All of SWMBO's recordings are on the 2TB HDD.
A couple of months ago, I replaced the 1TB HDD in one of my spare HDRs with a 2TB HDD. Then copying all the contents of the unit SWMBO uses on a daily basis to the newly updated 'spare' unit. This spare unit was become her daily driver.
It all went...
