Sweet - and we are there! 2 working nfs shares, dlna filtering so no crashes, and virtual usb. Now all I need do is migrate all the video over from SMB to NFS on the NAS... but at least that should be pain free. Thank you so much for all your help! :)
OK - I didn't realise I could stick in a 'virtual disk', was put off by the idea of tying up a USB device and/or slot. I shall install virtual-disk2 and adjust accordingly.
Both nfs shares have now, for some reason, popped up - so at least that bit is working, and I can give up on the failing...
And that appears to have done it - two visible nfs shares, and, well, we'll see if Twonky crashes things - but in the meantime I'm happy to trust you! I shall now stop clogging up forums!
Can somebody please tell me what I've got wrong at this point? Too many hours disappearing in failure!

But all I'm getting in the log...
Will this just filter out DLNA traffic, or all network traffic from a specific ip? The reason I ask is I've just spent all evening trying to mount an nfs share from my NAS (Zyxel NSA310) - and not been able to get anywhere... and it just dawned on me it's probably because I've add a rule to ip...
Ah - just twigged, need to select the channel icon, not the name of the programme in the epg to switch!
Thanks Trev, I already have a remote installed on the webif, but it's not much use to me when I'm in a different room and can't see the effect it's having.
This may well be a silly question, but I can't find any way of triggering playback of recordings from the webif (there may not be one).
The problem I'm trying to solve is this - if I'm sat at my desk in the study and the kids come in and ask if they can watch another episode of octonauts, can I...
Good stuff. Currently watching video stored on the has on the HDR, via the Mac! Plex now set up to include in it's libraries a network mount of the video files on the nas... So it sucks them off and publishes them to the rest of the network, which means I can run upnp on the humax - thus decrypt...
OK. Work around in place- turning on content share still caused the box to reboot - but on reboot nas not visible in network storage, so we shall see if it stays stable...
In an ideal world, i would like to maintain streaming from the nas to the HDR, as it's serving photos etc. As well - so an easy way to get them onto the 'big' screen. On the other hand, that can be one through the ps3 just as well... So I'll give it a try - thanks for the tip.
Hi all,
Newb post so apologies if answer is obvious. The situation is this, my HDR fox t2 is on the home network and I'm looking to enable upnp streaming across the network.
However, on the network I also have a zyxel nsa310 NAS running Twonky 7.something. This means if I turn on the default...
