Just had a chance to try out cifs/samba, can mount both my Windows share and my other Humax T2 which is great :), however both show up as having no capacity i.e. on the drive listing screen when Media is pressed on remote where the available capacity under the pie chart is shown for the samba...
Been trying this, installed samba and can access the HD Fox T2 from my Windows PC, however unable to mount a samba share from the T2. I think this requires smbfs support which the samba package doesn't include (may be wrong here I'm no expert!). I was going to mount an external share to...
I've tried this, it shows the virtual disk as a second HDD however can't copy to it, you can select the drive as the desination but nothing happens, no errors just goes back to drive listing. I did notice on the initial media screen (i.e. press Media button on remote, where the drives are...
I've created a directory called mod on my external HDD and mounted this to mnt/hd2/mod:
mount mnt/hd2/mod /media/drive1/mod
This seems to work as opkg now tries to download the package.gz however all the files are currently inacessible
