      Well if I was the OP I would most definitely have replaced the HDD by now. He is probably going to have to replace it anyway at some time in the not too distant future, so it makes sense to do so now, at least IMO.

      I have just got round to getting a HDR-Fox T2 when I see there is a new product, the HDR-2000T. I can get the HDR-Fox T2 for £150 or the new HDR-2000T for around £170. Are there any drawbacks or benefits with the newer model?
