I 'speck I'm being dim here, but I HAVE searched on this subject and not found.
When I fire up the Remote Scheduling Portal its EPG doesn't match the EPG on the box. (In my case there is no SD BBC1, and ITV1 is missing altogether.)
How do I tell the RSP to recheck channels?
Thanks!
Thanks for your help on this. I now have both working through a 3 port powerline adaptor (NL-HP2003PORT www.newlinkproducts.co.uk if anyone needs to follow suit).
I remain utterly unconvinced of the usefulness of YouView however. Glad I didn't spend any money on it. Anyone who has used the...
OK, so I gave in to the umpteenth call from TalkTalk and got a YouView box.
Has anyone else run the HDR Fox T2 and Huawei side by side, and got any suggestions - especially on wiring (eg can I connect them both to the same Powerline adapter)?
Thanks!
I have looked, but not found the answer to this. Sorry if it appears somewhere obvious and I've overlooked it.
I have recorded some radio programmes onto the HDR, and they appear nicely in the media list as .ts files. They won't play direct from the HDR (VLC Player). They seem to decrypt OK...
I am surprised how few have responded to this poll.
But thinking about it, the average user will only come here if they have a problem. Otherwise they just fit and forget the CF. Counting the CF downloads might give a better idea.
Don't let the low response make you feel nobody's using it.
Suddenly my HDR is saving all recordings into folders, although I have flatten 0.0.4 installed. A right click on OPT+ shows the 'PREVENT FLATTEN' option, and there are no square brackets.
Any idea what's going on?
Sothink Move DVD Maker loads .ts files, converts them and burns direct to DVD in one go. Works a treat.
Free if you don't mind it putting a brief ad for itself on the front of your DVD. Or you can pay 25 quid if you'd rather it didn't.
It could be added to...
Just discovered Sothink Movie DVD Maker which burns .ts files to DVD very competently.
Free if you can put up with a fairly inoffensive ad screen on the DVD - or 25 quid if you can't.
I find this most interesting. My crystal ball tells me that you are an engineer.
If one is not meticulous about accuracy in engineering the project doesn't work. It interests me that people who are meticulous in one sphere would be so casual about accuracy in another.
Definition of dismiss...
Thank you BH - that is indeed clear enough - even for me. :)
So if I click WAIT and then turn off the computer, does the box remember the recording I want to schedule?
If it does, I suggest the following - or something like:
------------------
Click RESTART NOW to schedule the recording...
Good point. I agree.
Ah! Excellent! So does 'DISMISS' in fact not mean "RESTART LATER" but "DON'T RESTART AT ALL"? That is NOT what was described in answer to my previous (pretentious!) post.
If that is indeed the case, the disambiguation should be RESTART NOW / CANCEL SCHEDULING.
