How much data is held in the monitor db? I've just run these command on my HDR and the entries only start at 20:12 this evening, so I can't see what went on this morning. I'll run this first thing tomorrow and see what it reveals.
Judging from the lack of output I get when running this on...
I've noticed both my HD and HDR have been spending a lot time half awake recently. I thought it might be an errant sleep timer lying around from a deleted RS scheduled wake up, but it has persisted after the sleep timer has been deleted. The boxes seem to be ok once they have been powered on...
Ahhh, yes, could be. I recently removed an 18:00 wake-up timer using RS. After reading your post I can see that the 18:15 sleep timer is still there, so I've deleted it and will see how goes. If it fixes things then I'll put a note to that effect in this thread. Thanks to BH and AF123 for...
The box does power down completely of its own accord sometimes, it just seems to spend far too much time in this half-awake state when there doesn't seem to be any reason for it to do so.
Has anyone noticed a difference in power management on the HD model (but not the HDR) under the new custom firmware 2.10? I've noticed that the external HDD LED is lit much of the time while the box is (apparently) in standby and the disk will be spinning. Power Saving In Standby and Automatic...
Pads is not alone in this. My HDR does the same thing & I don't even have time to pick up the remote before it powers off. It hadn't occurred to me that it might be due to RS, though.
I'm still finding that all copies of large files via Webif from my HDR to an external Ext3-formatted disk stop dead at 2.0 GB, no errors reported. Same files copy fine via the Humax user interface. CF 1.15, Webif 0.8.13-1. Is it just me?
Ok, just had bootHDR working from telnet and remote on CF1.14 after a manual installation of bootHDRmode.
Upgraded to CF1.15 and then bootHDRmode failed to work, causing the box to freeze.
Flashed back to CF1.14 and bootHDRmode works again from telnet and remote.
No other changes were made.
So...
Climber, thanks very much for your trouble in writing up all of this. I tried your method with the exception of formatting the disk first (I have too many recordings that would take too long to copy elsewhere) so I deleted all the existing cf modifications from the disk before starting. I...
I tried a manual re-installation of bootHDRmode, this time using the new HDR_FOX_T2_1.02.20_mod_1.15_upgrade firmware instead of the Humax HDR stock 1.02.20 firmware - same result. Can anyone give me some advice on troubleshooting this, please?
I had this working via the manual installation procedure at http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Decrypt_recordings_on_the_HD-FOX_T2 but it seems to have stopped working after I upgraded to firmware 1.15. This might be coincidence, I'm not sure.
Like Vermillion, when booting into HDRmode via telnet the...
@af123. If you could see your way to adding a "decrypt to..." dialogue so we can choose the destination folder (be it on the internal disk or on a USB device) then I, for one, would be very grateful. Regardless of whether this can be done, thanks for everything you've already put into Webif.
Yes, I seem to remember some discussion about it being difficult to access directly from Webif the functions that the box uses to copy/decrypt natively to USB disk. Would it be possible to persuade the Webif copy process to do an, erm, automatic "decrypt in place" sort of thing when copying an...
Another great addition to Webif, thanks to af123. I gave this a try yesterday and made the following observations:
1. All copies of large files to an external Ext3-formatted disk stopped dead at 2.0 GB, no errors reported.
2. The copy of HD media to external disk was still encrypted.
3. Moving...
Can't see a problem with that - I've always been an "if it ain't broke, tweak it" kind of a bloke. And if you saw some of the garbage my kids record... ;)
I find the pace of change to all these utilities really quite exciting (possibly more so than some of the things I record on the box) and thoroughly enjoy browsing this forum after work just to see what you lot have thought up in the 24 hours since I lasty looked.
If you were to add "Move" for...
