Right, gotcha. I had read this when researching and did make sure that the cables were the same length before being combined but that's it, the rest was winged with my novice level of understanding with decent results until recently. Still unsure why any of this would cause the 2nd tuner issue...- notapom

Nah I diplexer won't work for me as the channels are interlaced. Freeview 22, 25, 28 and Saorview 23 and 26. I didn't want a switch so I tried a combiner which worked fine. You know what, you might be on to something there. I did fiddle with the connections when troubleshooting last time, they all looked fine though so I didn't suspect them being the problem. I'll be honest, I'm not sure I understand you. Too technical for me. I did read when setting the aerials up that the cables from each aerial should be the same length before being combined so that the wavelengths (Not sure of correct term) of the Freeview signals received on the Saorview...- notapom

So yeah it was the aerial set up causing the issue even though both tuners displayed good signal strength and quality. I have 2 aerials, 1 for Freeview, 1 for Saorview combined to come down 1 cable. As black hole mentioned, it's detectads that I use. I just forgot what it was called at the time. I love it and it's almost always perfect. Maybe once a month a recording has incorrect bookmarks, but every other time, it is flawless- notapom

The standard functionality isn't particularly my taste but I really liked the ad skipping function on the custom firmware. I wouldn't say I made the most of the custom firmware tbh. Subtitles running out of sync on Channel 4 channels
The past few months the subtitles on channel 4 channels have been out of sync. When I powered on my Humax this evening, it brought me to what looks like a factory reset kinda screen. I had to choose my preferred language and it had the number 1 in the corner. I was just reading this comment. I have had no luck recording from both platforms. As others have stated, a recording only worked if the Humax is on the platform you are trying to record from but reading this, It seems it is possible to record from both.
