  I realised that after I posted. I was panicking a bit as I didn't want the HDR to drop into standby mid-fixdisk cycle. Not a lot I can do anyway though. Yes, I should know better.

8. Sleep timer and maintenance mode...
  
  When in maintenance mode, will a sleep timer set via the SUI be acted upon? I ask because I have a sleep timer set for 14:30 and I am also in maintenance mode running fixdisk. Is it likely that the Humax will still sleep at 14:30 as I don't think that the fixdisk will be finished by that time?

9. Radio controlled clock/DECT phone - interference ?
  
  I have a DECT phone, just the extension handset ,next to my DAB bedside radio without issue. It's been like this for years. Phone is a BT8500 and DAB radio is a Pure Siesta.

  It's the Vacuum Florescent Display. This is the display that shows the channel info. etc. Edit: Cross post with BH.

  Are you sure that it is not coming from the VFD? One of my HDRs display does have a high pitched whistle, more noticeable when the unit is in standby.
