You shouldn't need to update the .NET framework if the computer is updating using Windows update as they will get updated then.
So all we can do is make sure there are no remnants left behind perhaps stopping the installer. So if you could check that:
1) DvrOnTime has no entries in Add or...
Okay, so there is a known issue with Microsoft installing different versions of databases, try this from the installer instructions:
Installing SqlLocalDB will upgrade any existing older version, due to a bug in the setup routine from Microsoft this may cause an issue. If there are problems...
I've just tested the installer on Windows 11 and it is working all okay, so I'm not sure what is happening. Did you install the SqlLocalDB using the msi in the 1.0.6 setup zip folder?
Just seen this message and was going to suggest a change to one of the settings. Microsoft did some security changes to the .NET framework and Googling found a suggestion for the problem of connecting and timeouts. The error you are getting now is of course something else.
Are you getting the...
Yes, absolutely no need to copy the database, I'm not sure where those instructions originated from. The database holds the tuning information so if you copied back the original database you'd end up back where you started with the same tuned channels :)
Yes it will keep the recording schedule, not sure what the numbered instructions relate to however, but you can just retune anytime using the option under Settings. The recording schedule will all go to "Pending..." immediately after a retune but as the guide repopulates they should all have...
No plans to change the guide at the moment as I don't have much free time to embark on reworking it. Making the guide work on normal desktop browsers was challenging enough :-)
Unfortunately I don't have any iPads to test on. If you have the option to change it then on the iPad make sure it is requesting a desktop version of the site, other than that I'm not sure what the issue is. Hopefully it should work okay using the search and 'programs by channel' to set up...
Thanks for the log, it looks like the tuner wasn't (or stopped) providing any tuners and was reporting service unavailable. The tuner code looks like it doesn't recover from being refused a tuner so it crashed the app, I will look to add some better error handling.
Good to hear your BBC HD...
This might be related to changes regarding BBC becoming regionalised. Your only option is to go for a retune, any programs that are scheduled will be set again once the guide has reloaded, the only exception will be anything set on BBC1 HD simply because that will get a new service identifier...
This can happen if the database service takes a while to start after a reboot (or it could be crashing for some other reason?), so it is worth while setting the DvrOnTime service to delayed start, this allows all other services to come up before DvrOnTime. See if that helps.
There will be some practical limit to how many things it can record at the same time so you might be hitting that. If you can attach the event log or private message it to me I will take a look, certainly the normal use failures are worth investigating and fixing.
Thanks for the update that it is working all okay now. Great to hear it is working with so many tuners, I've only tested with 8 tuners (2 Quatros) so nice to know it is scaling up okay.
Not sure why it couldn't find all the tuners after updating, although sometimes if a tuner is left without...
I've but the new files up at the link below. To install, stop the DvrOnTime service, then copy these new files over the existing ones in the installation folder at Program Files\DvrOnTime then restart the service. A good idea to take a backup of the original files and store them outside the...
Hi, yes this was fixed for the person reporting the issue and I haven't yet done a new build simply because I wanted to test it for a while first and hadn't realised anyone else had the issue. I will send you a private message shortly with some updates you can apply and then will look to get a...
It seems Channel 5 haven't indicated this is a series so they haven't added a series code. They don't indicate it is a series either in the program description although it should be her new series of travel programs. There is no manual option to set a recording to repeat, its all guide driven...
Just to add the EIT isn't the problem with your non-recordings, the EIT is read correctly and the recording is set to start. The problem appears to be some issue with the tuner not starting correctly when its ask to return other packets. I can't replicate the problem but I'm adding a watch dog...
