Derek, Syncing to 50Hz is not required , Maybe I need to make myself clearer. If your are using a rasberry pi or an android device they are perfectly capable of outputing 60Hz signals, so they can play on any vga monitor. Like you Ezra I too was very skeptical but I needed a solution ( a little android tv box feeding a pc monitor ) and so bought one off ebay and guess what it works. Biggest problem is finding a vga monitor that will sync to 50hz . Most computer monitors still won't go below 60hz. Anyway it worked...- brianmt

Recording whilst watching delayed playback
Problem for me is that time delayed viewings are not planned they are usually as a result of a phone call or some other interuption, which results in me putting the thing into pause ( I know, i know why don't you hit record instead, old dog new tricks etc ) . Then just as I'm getting to the end...- brianmt

Socrates, just read your post and yes, this happens to me. The thing is, never use delayed tv before a scheduled record. Easier said than done !!! the option above is a workaround , but It's just struck me when the box comes up asking yes or no. if you answer no the box will cancel the...- brianmt

Just bought a TP link nano
http://www.tp-link.com.au/products/details/?model=TL-WR702N works a treat on my smart tv and the Hummy. As it's an ethernet router it is ideal if you can't get an Edimax usb wirelss dongle. Very easy to set up too !! I bought it mainly to use in hotels when I'm travelling, going to have to buy...- brianmt

Stream from iPhone to HDR
Wild media server on a pc allows you to stream to the HDR but it was a bit of a phaff so I gave up on it. Might have a go again now there's been another couple of version releases. Don't know of anything for an iPhone but it is possible . My favourite at the moment is a rasberry pi running XBMC...- brianmt

I miss the back button as it worked on the 9200, bit of a fiddle on the T2, but that's a minor con . The T2 is a much more refined machine, you won't regret the upgrade. Green Flecky lines
You read many times on here and in fact I say it as well HDMI leads are all the same but........ a poorly made HDMI lead will cause little green flecks on 1080 in particular. Try another lead. I have a HDMI switch causes green flashing on 1080 clean on 720. Also could be a clocking error on your...- brianmt

Late arrivals at the Post Retune Ball
Excellent rant there from LDW deserves a 7.465/10 , brightened up a sunday morning :cool: ps I agree with him. It's the re-tune for channels I never use that annoys me and should not be on freeview in the first place.- brianmt

that was sort of my intention, seems to be a tv issue so split the signal try to keep the humax out of the loop. Be far easier if they just kept the hummy on and used it as their main tuner. Can't understand why people don't do this , pause and rewind live tv is used all the time in our house- brianmt

Sorry failed to mention ch 57 it has a MEN news and a couple of other channels of no quality at all and Ch54 is hd only. From what I can gather it's when you're using the TV tuner is when you have the problem. Are you 100% sure the humax is not in power saving mode ie the pass through powered down- brianmt

I don't know your set up but I did have a TV whose inputs crossed talked very badly ie humax playing back you could see the tv underneath. I'm afraid it was a faulty tv ( now in use in the bedroom as a tv only). try isolating the hdmi inputs and the aerial inputs see if you identify a particular...- brianmt
