Below is a typical recommendation on this thread for the Mod-settings:
/smb/testfrompc/domain=pcc.login']domain=WORKGROUP (4.0KiB)
/smb/testfrompc/folder=testfrompc']folder=media (4.0KiB)
/smb/testfrompc/host=192_168_0_12']host=192_168_0_12 (4.0KiB)...
I was under the same illusion, so that sorts your problem does it?
Now having sorted Decrypt or unencrypt out, all I have to do is to get a [Shared] directory in My Videos.
My current Mod Settings/smb/humax2 are:
folder=media (4.0KiB)
host=192_168_1_66 (4.0KiB)
mac=ABABABABABAB (only needed...
Trajet, are you absolutely sure your files are decrypted see http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Custom_Firmware_Package_Notes#Decrypt
also see http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Custom_Firmware_Package_Notes#Unencrypt
Are you saying that virtual disk is not required to decrypt recordings? So long as auto-unprotect & unencrypt are both installed. If so why don't I get the [DEC] logo against all my recordings. I only get this if I install virtual disk and decrypt using opt+ on a recording with remote or webif...
Climber.
My network route has worked right from the off (I can play recordings in all directions between 2 HDR's and my PC in Std Def & Hi Def, the Hi Def's not good on my old laptop), but without full transport support, hence the efforts to get sharing (auto-mount) to work. Your USB method...
As far as sharing is concerned, plugging in a usb device doesnt making the sharing directory come up (my problem is mod settings hasn't produced a share directory). Not even by this morning.
However I have tried Climber's method & I can get it to work (with full transport control over playback)...
Still not working, that is the Share directory has not yet appeared in the media list on the box. However as last time I tried, it is possible to play a recording from H2 on H1 via storage /network. Also possible to play recording from H1 via H2 on the PC. I shall now wait to review the postion...
Unfortunately it didn't work for me :mad:
I have now reinstalled the custom firmware on both boxes, being careful not to include anything that itsn't exactly necessary, keeping CIFS (H1) & Samba with auto-unprotect and unencrypt installed (H2) in there right places. I let network-share-mount...
Was hoping that you would test out the installation of auto-mount on a 1.02.27 modified box. To determine if a shared recording played without getting the The program is scrambled message
Both Trajet and myself are wondering If anybody out there has auto-mount running ok who has also modified to 1.02.27, because this seems a common denominator to us.:(
Thanx Black Hole, you have tried. I thank you for that!!!:)..
I now have progress to report. Both boxes have been switched off for a couple of hours. On switching both on I now find I not only have a shared directory but also recordings listed, but unfortunely they won't play. The message I...
